And an adulterer. And a murderer (by proxy). And a coveter (particularly of Uriah the Hittite’s wife). BUT . . . he always, but ALWAYS, humbled himself before God Almighty, admitted his sins, and repented.
Patton was one of the most well-known potty-mouths in modern history. But his heart was clean. God isn’t happy with bad habits, but I sincerely believe that He looks beyond them, directly into the spirit of the person, and evaluates him or her based on what He sees with His eyes, not what we hear with our ears.
