Brian Laundrie ‘well versed’ in surviving in the wild
NY Post ^ | September 23, 2021 | By Gabrielle Fonrouge and Jorge Fitz-Gibbon

Brian Laundrie, who is being hunted in connection to girlfriend Gabby Petito’s death, is “well versed” in surviving long periods of time in the wild, a former co-worker told The Post.

Laundrie, 23, identified as a person of interest in Petito’s death during the couple’s cross-country trip, disappeared last week and is the subject of a massive manhunt at a 25,000-acre reserve near his Florida home.

But Laundrie could prove hard to find — he once bragged to co-workers that he survived on just crackers for six weeks while camping, the co-worker said.

“In conversation about hiking … Brian talked about the longest time that he spent in the woods was 6 weeks and bragged about only having a large pack of either cheese or peanut butter crackers to sustain him for that time,” the source told The Post in a text.

“He is well versed in spending a long time in the woods and living off nearly nothing,” they said.

And I'm well-versed on electromagnetic theory because I listen to the radio. Anyone can brag about anything. The real trick is actually doing the thing you brag about. Usually, those who brag the most have the least capabilities.

Yeah, BS, unless he brought a net to capture fish with, or snare traps for rabbits, and materials to clean, prep, and cook these things with.

Check youtube for a new entry, “On the Run Life”. Seriously, I doubt they will ever find this guy. In fact, from the way this has played (and is playing out), I don’t think they actually want to find him. This was all just “news distraction” for TPTB. We find it interesting like today’s gossip or building fire. It will pass and then they will find another distraction.

Is it sad? Of course. Was it wrong? Obviously. But like all other “news” of this nature, it’s time clock is ticking away and interest is dropping....soon it will fall off the page entirely. The whole thing is just so sad....Makes you wonder just how much “news” we “miss” on a regular basis. It (the news) is shaped for us.... All agenda driven.

i don’t believe him... he’s only 23. when did he have time to live off crackers for 6 weeks?
does not strike me as a survivor type, more a “Ma bring me my crackers, type.

What with all the bugs and things, I can't see him hanging out in the Florida boonies for very long.......

If he doesn't kill himself, he'll be caught eventually........

ha! My daughter has an ex boyfriend who moved to Montana, and I always say” I hope he’s giving a grizzly bear indigestion” when folks ask how he’s doing.

Eric Rudolph was much more “versed” but was caught rummaging in a dumpster when he was caught.

Posted this on another thread; fits here to:

I figured out what is going on here when the light bulb went on the day before yesterday. I heard on TV a commentator speaking about this Gabby/Brian case who stated that Gabby (who lived with Brian Laundrie and his parents for 2 years) would periodically go back to stay with her own parents when Brian became too much for her to deal with and that Brian “heard voices”. My ears immediately perked up: Brian is a schizophrenic.

That explains so much of Gabby & Brian’s toxic interactions. Highs and lows, paranoia about what Gabby was up to, corralling her off from her friends, controlling (as in his mind he was actually out of control himself) and hearing voices. All classic signs of paranoia and schizophrenia. And schizophrenia most often manifests itself between the ages of 18-23. Brian established his relationship with Gabby at the approx. age of 21; he is now 23.

There is an on-line website that started my thinking he was schizo that shows art that he has done. He is a comic book addict, and drew some of the characters, namely Hell Boy, and others. He also drew other pics that are on this same website of, get this: the devil, a screaming skeleton, knives, or daggers if you prefer dripping with blood, the picture of a man with a wolf’s head, with 3 figures standing behind him holding guns, one of the comic book characters is drawn such that it looks phallic, like a penis.

Schizophrenics, in their art work (I consulted with my friend who is an art therapist with extensive psychology and some training in psychiatry background) about my suspicions, told her about Brian hearing voices, and we studied together while talking on the phone the website showing Brian’s drawings. She totally agrees that Brian is most likely to be schizophrenic.

My friend still has a picture done by one of the schizophrenic patients she did art therapy with while working on the psychiatric ward of a large middle west city hospital affiliated with a prominent University. Many of the schizo patients on the ward where she worked were very bright individuals, some being students at the University where the hospital with the psychiatric ward was located (genius bordering on insanity?). My friend had shown me the picture many years ago (it was a large, maybe 16 x 20 or thereabouts pic) that was framed and hanging on her house wall; it was fascinating.

Schizos in their pics, often use random numerology, numbers strewn arbitrarily about in their paintings. They often put devil figures or heads in their art, and phallic symbols, and knives, or guns or other objects or portrayals of violence. All this coming out of their mentally sick state of mind, the inner turmoil, and it gets worse with age.

Paranoia is another major symptom of this disease, paranoid schizophrenia. And this is what my friend and I agreed that we believe Brian to be, a paranoid schizophrenic. We both wonder if this was already known by Brian’s parents (which could explain their over protectiveness towards their son) and has already been diagnosed as such. Because of HIPPA laws this info would not be divulged to the public, and thus to the media. They are not privy to Brian or Gabby’s mental records. Gabby herself probably has certain mental problems of her own. She self described herself when talking to the police when she and Brian had an altercation, that she was OCD (Obsessive/Compulsive disorder). So mentally toxic meets very mentally toxic (Brian) and the end result is a dead Gabby and a missing Brian. There is more I could say here but this is getting long, so I’ll save it for next time on a Gabby/Brian thread.

He wasn’t able to last too long in a well-equipped van, with a hot chick, and spending his parents money. I just don’t think he’s as tough as he thinks he is. The threat of a life in prison will give him a little extra incentive, but I don’t expect he’ll last much longer.
