Brian Laundrie may have lied to his parents about going to a 25,000-acre Florida reserve and could be “almost anywhere,” a search-and-rescue expert says.
The FBI has spent the past week scouring the Carlton Reserve for Gabby Petito’s boyfriend after his parents reported him missing Sept. 17 — three days after he told them he was going on a hike there.
“People that are trying not to get caught for something sometimes use people, right? So he may have told his parents that’s where he’s going,” Chris Boyer, executive director of the National Association for Search and Rescue, told Insider.
“They may be telling the authorities that in all honesty, but he lied to them.”

More like his parents and sister helped him, set up misdirection, got him out of town to run away from prosecution. They all belong in jail until proven otherwise as far as I’m concerned. Especially since they have not spoken up calling on him to turn himself in or return home. The whole family stinks.

i have a friend of a friend who read it on social media, he’s on a plane to Seattle, and yes he’s carrying a parachute and back pack full of peanut butter-cheese crackers.
He was identified as a hitchhiker away from the area according to FOX13

There is on doubt that he is not in the reserve. He and the parents were seen pulling away with a camper in tow. He is sitting in a campground somewhere until he catches the news that his parents hid him that way. Then I don’t know where he will go. His parents are vile creatures for hiding him knowing what he did.
Several years ago Scott Peterson tried escaping to Mexico with the help of his brother. He was caught however because the police had surreptitiously placed a tracking device on his vehicle. You’d think they would have done the same thing in this case.
