Remember when former President Barack Obama said that for a society to be healthy and functioning, it must have a “common baseline of facts”?
Democratic Party leaders missed the memo.
Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters of California claimed Wednesday that the Border Patrol’s recent treatment of Haitian asylum-seekers illegally entering the United States is “worse than slavery.”
"What we witnessed takes us back hundreds of years,” the congresswoman said. “What we witnessed was worse than what we witnessed in slavery.”
She added, "Cowboys with their reins, again, whipping Black people, Haitians, into the water where they're scrambling and falling down when all they're trying to do is escape from violence in their country."
The congresswoman continued, saying she is “pissed.”
"I'm unhappy, and I'm not just unhappy with the cowboys, who were running down Haitians and using their reins to whip them," Waters said. "I'm unhappy with the administration."
"We are following the Trump policy. He is the one that does not follow the Constitution and would not allow those seeking refuge to be able to petition to get into the country," the California congresswoman claimed. "What the hell are we doing here?"
Waters didn’t leave it at just that.

The ChiCom paid propaganda machine latched onto the border patrol on horseback video to create a false narrative. Like Bull Connors siccing dogs on blacks to create sympathy for the illegal aliens. Waters is only too happy to spread the new narrative. There should be welcoming centers receiving the Hattians and no obstacles to their entry.

Maxine Waters know so much about slavery, and like all persons of liberal persuasion, an awful lot of what she knows for certain, just is not so.
Slavery can be exerted in ways both subtle and harsh, and what Maxine thinks she saw would be, in her eyes, harsh. But the men on horseback were not compelling the persons they were confronting to force those people to provide involuntary servitude, but to simply stop what they were doing, which was to cross into US territory without prior permission.
But once within the US, the expectation would be that the low threshold that these Haitians would be held to, is a subtle form of a a new slavery, that these people much be forever tied to the good graces of the liberal mindset, and deviation will be dealt with harshly, thus revealing the true nature of new slavery to which they are condemned.
The plantation is never far from the minds of liberals.

Like everyone, I am so sick of hearing about slavery. It’s an excuse for a bunch of losers. It doesn’t matter how much we try to prop them up, they’re still the same.
With politicians like this is it really any wonder we trust none of them?

Didn’t we learn that these Haitians have been living in South American countries, but decided to try to break into the USA illegally because of the lax Biden administration? So they already HAD escaped from the violence in Haiti, Maxine. No need to travel to the USA at all.

Conclusion: Slavery in America has been exaggerated. It was not even at the level of being rounded up by cowboys on horses. Now I know the truth.
