Frances Baez, the local district central superintendent, released a statement on the incident.

"I want to reassure families that any type of violent behavior is never tolerated in Los Angeles Unified," she said. "The safety of our students remains our top priority, and again, any violence of any kind, will simply not be tolerated on our campuses."

I heard this story on the radio on the way home today, After watching the video, I have a couple questions.

1. When did it become accepted for 2 or more against one in a fight at school?

2. When did it become acceptable to Keep Beating a person that is already down??

With that said, I would give BOTH girls 20 Years for Aggravated Assault and Attempted Manslaughter, They would be in Adult Prison TODAY and they would stay there for a long long time. I would then EXPEL every Student in the locker room at the time for being a spectator and the ones that filmed it would be charged as Co-Conspirators and I would give them 5 years in Adult Prison, starting TODAY

ps Neither of the two thug girls were Suspended or Reprimanded by the school.

Gotta love how all the others are filming it instead of helping the poor kid. I say poor kid, but I don’t know if he was the instigator or not.

When I was a kid…..and that’s a long time ago.

The little brother would mess with you until you popped him.

Next day, the big brother in high school would be waiting for you.

Answer:

When it was decided that God and His ways were no longer welcome in public schools.

Our entire society, at all levels, is now built on a foundation of bullying the people who are less important than you.

That’s America today.

Miguel Contreras Learning Complex's School of Social Justice.

How appropriate for a crappy government school.

It’s became acceptable when society downgraded marriage and emphasized the idea of boyfriend and girlfriend being the equivalent of a spouse.

You’re not thinking about the ‘cultural’ aspects.

Roughly the same time we decided to embrace diversity.

This is typical of the empty, stupid nonsense school administrators say after a fight. What else would they say?

But in fact, they DO tolerate violent behavior. They tolerate it every day. Violent and disruptive kids are not removed from the classrooms. They are not disciplined. High suspension numbers can (on the surface) make schools look bad. So administrators ignore the bad behavior. Gotta keep up the charade.

So those disruptive kids allowed stay in school, and raise hell. This forces teachers to spend less time on instruction, and more time on crowd control. Only when something bad hits the evening news do the administrators talk tough (and it’s all pretend anyway).

Sorry for the rant. I taught in urban schools for decades. The whole mess is very frustrating.

I’m a retired public school teacher. The name of the school is a ‘tell’. Our local ‘Alternative’ school was renamed ‘The Academy’. No one is fooled, but it makes the students feel better about themselves and that is what education is all about now.
