What guns have you sold that you miss dearly?
I miss my High Standard AR 15 sn 107. made in Tx, a tack driver...
Winchester 94/22 XTR
What were the 3 barrels for?
“Ruger .44mag carbine”
Beat me to it. I loved that rifle.
And now that you have Alzheimer’s we’ll never know what happened to them😆
Dittos.
COP .357,
Always wanted one!
A pawn Shop in San Diego
Had a Pair in Sequential
Serial numbers about
5 Grand.
Same here, I also had a Marlin 30-30 bolt action rifle and a Marlin 30-06 and a 357 revolver that was stolen from my parents house during my move out. I suspect my nephew and brother in law needed them for dope.
I have never sold any guns. I lost them all in an unfortunate boating accident.
All of them....every single one, and there have only been 3 or 4.
6" Taurus 357 magnum, an older one, tack driver. Can't remember what I spent that money on...
OMG !!!!
My condolences to You.
If that had been Me I’d still be in therapy...
The grips are too short on them for Me.
Other than that I loved it.
Every.
Last.
One.
One in particular pains me, though.
I got a great deal on an early SIG, a P210. I didn’t like the ergonomics so I sold it.
It turns out to be the most accurate out-of-the-box pistol EVER, and worth 3x what I paid for it... and 2x what I sold it for.
Shoulda sold them to me.
Then you could have still visited them!
I’ve owned 5 M1922s over the years and shot a few more (I’m an old codger).
As a rule of thumb; barrels made after ‘37 have so-so accuracy. Barrels made ‘32 to ‘37 are accurate, usually closer to ‘32 the better the accuracy. I have found no difference in original versus rebarreled M1922, except for those with barrels dated after ‘37. My old 9X6 was produced in ‘23 and rebarreled with a ‘35 barrel. Never found one that shot tighter. I’ve heard that A. Pope cut some barrels for M22s, I’ve never seen one. Probably hid in vaults somewhere. Pope did a number of target ‘03s and they were exceptionally accurate. I’ve owned a number of competition Win. 52s that could shot possible all day but there is nothing that excites me like an M1922. Thank you and all the best to you.
Didn’t think you’d be interested; my bad.
They’re right here in York, with my atty and son, banker, and cousin, so they’re still dear and near.
Sir, thank you for your advice. I’d like to get an M1922 someday and will definitely look for an older one. God bless!
