Most of the people I know are career employees and aren’t on contract except for some engineers.
The unions will shut this down.
>>>Elections have consequences.<<<
Nope.
sElections have consequences.
AFGE is not just any union.
They are a gorilla.
No, they won’t. Not the leadership, anyway.
The leadership will be bought off.
It’s already happening.
The unions have to shut it down—otherwise their contracts become toilet paper.
The s&^% is hitting the fan—now.
They’re Deep State’s pet gorilla.
I see it as a manufactured opportunity for the administration to replace a large portion of the federal workforce with hand picked brown shirts.
1. I have no confidence that the vaccines work.
2. I have no confidence that the vaccines will have no adverse long-term effects on me.
3. (AND THIS IS A BIG ONE) ... I can't reverse my course of action and "un-vaccinate" myself if I get a vaccine and #1 and/or #2 turn out to be legitimate concerns.
4. Since February 2020 I have simply seen to many misrepresentations, conflicting statements, and outright lies from people in positions of authority on various matters related to COVID-19. I go way back to the day in mid-March when I told a close friend of mine whose employer sent him to work from home when that "15 days to flatten the curve" nonsense was first announced: "I'll never believe anything we are being told about this disease while the same people who are shutting down restaurants, schools and businesses insist on keeping the New York City subway running."
Do you think its dumb as licking gum off sidewalks to have had covid and not want to be vaccinated?
It is not that simple—leaders can be removed faster than you can say “bribe”.
This is a fundamental contract issue—do or die for the unions.
I identify as a non Federal worker, and I also identify as being immunocompromised...
And no way will employees at the CDC, the FDA ever get get jabbed.
But the threat will be all the excuse the private sector needs to cram it down employees’ throats.
I’m just amazed Deep State waited this long to do it.
The Deep State may think AFGE is their pet gorilla.
The Deep State is not omnipotent—they are about to learn that the gorilla flunked training.
We’re no longer a republic.
Contract law means jack.
It is what Deep State says it is.
If we wait for that to save us, we’re hosed.
I hope you are right.
As a way of reducing headcount this could work better than Trump’s method of moving government offices out of D.C.
They represent 600k, which is a small fraction of the Fed workforce.
