This is a good place to update my family (In-laws) COVID 19 story:
Gramma (Too tough to die), age 95 has recovered but is still being held incommunicado in her facility.
Aunt has fully recovered.
Uncle, unfortunately, is still in an induced coma and on a ventilator (It has been two weeks now). Not looking good. Apparently, the Professionals are in charge and are not taking any guff from the relatives. We are a thousand miles away and unable to do anything about it.
That’s all the details I have except that Mrs. C’s Mama and Aunt are near hysterical. We have not heard from Gramma.

Trader Joe's has excellent goat milk. Also, many (most?) grocery stores (including every Kroger store I've been in) have the Meyenberg brand of goat milk -- also good, but a little stronger flavor perhaps because it's been "ultra-pasteurized". Goat milk is an indispensable ingredient in my to-die-for hot fudge sauce.

My thoughts on the vax mandates and questions:
Dividing employees into specific groups violates anti-discrimination laws.
Intimidation is creating a hostile work environment, which also violates anti-discrimination laws.
I am within striking distance of retirement. But 1 more year will net me a couple of hundred more a month towards medical insurance as well as about $200 more a month in additional pension, and another year of 401K investments.
I’m in a situation now where I can go, but I’m going to try to hold out for that extra year, plus a half month so that I can get both this year’s performance bonus and next years.
But if push comes to shove, I’ll get through this month and get the end-of-fiscal-year full bonus anyway. I am fortunate to be in a better position than most, but there are a few of us speaking the same language.
They are still regrouping from the last mandate, and they hadn’t really completed their plan for the previous one 3 or 4 weeks ago. I think that they are kind of between a rock and a hard place regarding our group anyway, because they can’t keep chairs fulled as it is, without a handful more leaving. Seems the stupid certification our jobs require, which I thought was an idiotic idea initially, has come to be a lever we can use now against upper management.
