“The Wire’’ actor Michael K. Williams was found dead of a suspected drug overdose in his Brooklyn penthouse Monday afternoon, law-enforcement sources told The Post.
Drug paraphernalia was found in the five-time Emmy nominee’s apartment, suggesting the acclaimed 54-year-old actor may have fatally OD’d, possibly from heroin or fentanyl, sources said.

I disagree with some of your take. The last episode surely seemed rushed, but I loved the time spent on the back story that really filled in the gaps across the series. It brought more life to the character’s stories, and the casting of the younger versions of the actors was superb. The one who played Steve Buscemi’s character should have won an Emmy. I’ve never seen such a perfect adaptation of an actor — and Buscemi’s quirks are tough to replicate.

Weed, especially the hyper weed of today, is barely possible
to not get high from. You can have a drink or two or even more over time and not get drunk. You can’t have a doobie or even a hit or two without getting stoned.
Yes I know it’s subjective to a degree but no I don’t approve recreational weed I think it’s harmful and I think it’s getting high. I don’t approve drunkenness either. I stick to scriptural parameters. God knows best and is not fooled by our nitpicking.

I’m one of those fans & I thought the final year was utter crap ! It came across as a rushed “lets-get-out-of-here-to-cash- checks-&-get-onto-our-next-movie\career-gig” effort.
As did the final season of the new Poldark. It was a season with Poldark & Dr Enys being a Napoleonic version of the ‘Man From Uncle’ !
Nah. You can be a hardcore addict and live to a ripe old age if you're careful. William S. Burroughs lived to be 83 and never fully kicked the habit. He said it was like inoculating yourself with death to become immune. Tom Petty OD'd at 66--fentanyl again.
And then there’s Keith Richards, although he claims he kicked the hard drugs years ago.

It seems the really powerful fenatnyl is making the rounds again. There were some other high profiledeaths this weekend. Borders wide open. China doing whatever it wants.. carfentanyl and the other fentanyls on the rise again along with American body counts...
Not sure about that. Apparently some series shows now have contracts to do x seasons and they get to the last season and have to tie up all the loose ends. L O S T had the same problem and so did Mad Men. The quality of the final season definitely lacked and anybody could have guessed that young Tommy would eventually murder Nucky for killing his father years ago. The first four seasons covered 1920-25 then the final year tried to do everything from 1925-1931.
