A plane crashed into a building in Connecticut, authorities said Thursday

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) told The Hill in a statement that a Cessna Citation 560X business jet crashed at around 10 a.m. local time into a building on Hyde Road in Farmington, Conn. around 10 a.m. local time.

The plane departed from Robertson Field Airport in Plainville, Conn., and was headed to Dare County Regional Airport in Manteo, N.C. The agency said four people were aboard.

Ditto, I had just gotten up in the morning on the West Coast when I heard that on the radio. I was on my PC at the time in my office and then decided to go back into the Master bedroom to turn on the TV as it didn’t sound right. Literally 60 seconds after I started watching the TV the second plane came in and it wasn’t no Cessna. I new the world had changed.

Why aren’t all seats on passenger planes ejection seats?

You would think OSHA would have been on this years ago.

I used to have the Buick version of the Citation. They were both pieces of garbage. ;)

He had said something about it being pretty fast. One of the most fun parts of our trip to Cabo was when we stopped at an airport in the sun belt (I forget which state) that had a strong military presence. We got to watch pairs of A-10’s do touch and go practice landings. Being that it is my favorite military plane, I was mesmerized.
