A plane crashed into a building in Connecticut, authorities said Thursday
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) told The Hill in a statement that a Cessna Citation 560X business jet crashed at around 10 a.m. local time into a building on Hyde Road in Farmington, Conn. around 10 a.m. local time.
The plane departed from Robertson Field Airport in Plainville, Conn., and was headed to Dare County Regional Airport in Manteo, N.C. The agency said four people were aboard.

My sister has a citation. I think Citations come in prop, turbo prop and jet versions. If she has the one described, she must be doing fairly well for herself - that's a 7 million dollar airplane.

I used to work right across the street from that building and there is no Runway near there and there aren’t any long stretches of road that would be safe so this has to be a mechanical malfunction and he did not want to put it there

a couple of years ago my dad sold his airplane after owning and flying it for almost 30 years...
the new owner crashed and destroyed it within 2 weeks after buying it...
experience is a key factor in these situations...

It looks like it hit less than a mile from the Plainville airport. It probably never gained any altitude, and so the pilot never really had any options.
