Right now, I think Gov. Abbott is playing this smartly.
He has stopped the immediate invasion at Del Rio, and he has had a lot of temporary fence with rolls of barbed wire built to plug up holes.
He is using 1,000 NG troops as well as TX DPS personnel.
Remember, Biden can nationalize the TX NG in a moment, and that transfers control to DC.
Texans are going to have to choose very shortly.
The TX NG, the
Border Patrol in TX, the sheriffs, the TX Rangers, and deputized citizens are all going to have a role to play.
It will be a time for choosing, and the despot is not an ocean away, but in the White House.
This is only Act 1 of the play.

I have a ton of VHS tapes too and one player.
Did get rid of many especially if it was replaced with a DVD.
Can’t bring myself to get rid of the rest, especially all the Disney classics.

Yes love I still have mine!
I also bought a few DVD of the classics but still have the old ones also.
I forgot I have PollyAnna!
Love that movie! My kids cried on the Yearling...got that also! ha! So many! I hope one day to watch some when I have time! Sweet Movies!

I agree with you. And I like Alan West, but you’re right about candidates making criticisms and empty promises. Makes one stick with what they have. One good thing by having a candidate running against an incumbent is, it can induce the incumbent to take stronger action IF needed. I’d like to see the two debate.
