We had two passing thunderstorms and some wind last night, but the worst of it passed north of us.
Today we have the windows open—it is sunny, breezy and NOT humid.
The storm took with it the heat and humidity we have had here for the last month.
The corn harvest will start by mid-Sept., so we need to dry out around here!

He said that permission “was requested and was denied.” In Pardo-Maurer’s view, the reason for this denial is “Because we are in this process of negotiating with the Taliban, who aren’t even in control of their own government or their own people.”
