ARTIFICIAL SHORTAGE???

Oxygen supplies grow precarious amid COVID surge

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/oxygen-supplies-grow-precarious-amid-covid-surge/ar-AANWQZE?ocid=msedgntp

EXCERPT:

MISSION, Kan. (AP) — The COVID-19 surge is stretching oxygen supplies and sending hospitals scrambling for more ventilators, even as there are signs of hope that the spread of the virus is slowing down in pockets of the U.S.

In Tulsa, Oklahoma, a hospital recently called 911 after coming within just a few hours of running out of oxygen because they needed an emergency transfer for a patient on high-flow oxygen. The hospital got a shipment later that day, but the experience was a warning to other hospitals, said Dr. Jeffrey Goodloe, the chief medical officer for the EMS system that serves Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

Luke gets it!! Not sure who he is, but, I like him and I like his fight. He is right on about what they’re doing and how to fight back.

On a similar note, watch this absolute take down, of Biden and what’s happening to our country, America’s decline, by this Australian program host.....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KYzf-88lZk

The world is watching what is happening, here, to us...and, to the West, because of the evil left.

Agree....that comment, to Emerald’s RINO exposé, does nail it. Names all the names of these traitors.

Channel surfing I just found RPOTUS on the phone with John Fredericks, Real America’s Voice.

Wish I would have surfed earlier.

Re your Australian news video.....

The whole world is laughing at the US but they do understand how dangerous Bye-done is.

I’m not going to copy the entire article, but it does give quite a bit of info on Biden’s stance on Afghanistan. As reported at the time of the article, anyway. Not saying it’s been the same opinion the entire time.

https://www.businessinsider.com/no-mention-of-us-wars-at-biden-trump-presidential-debates-2020-10

As the second and final debate between President Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden wound down last night, I found myself triple-checking the clock. Wasn’t there supposed to be a section on national security?

I asked my colleagues if I’d missed it somehow — all I could recall hearing in the foreign policy realm were a few questions on North Korea and a veritable gyroscope of mutual accusations of involvement with nefarious foreign regimes.

There was nothing to be missed. Whether the national security portion was anemic by design or cut for time, I’m not sure, but the upshot either way is that we’ve now concluded the debates without a single discussion of any of the United States’ ongoing wars. This is utterly unacceptable and a gross disservice to American voters.

One of these two men will soon wield considerable constitutional authority over US military interventions in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Somalia, and elsewhere in the Middle East and Africa. And for many voters, busy with all the ordinary business of life and a pandemic to boot, these debates may have been their only opportunity to devote undivided attention to each candidates’ plans. That these debates were allowed to conclude without scrutiny of active US wars is outrageous.

Well hi Gran and all.....

I have free reign of my daughter’s computer this morning, so I’m catching up, paying bills, answering emails, paying more bills, etc. Thanks for thinking of me.

House arrived yesterday at the farm. It has been plunked in the new driveway and the company that is going to move it onto the pad, level, secure, etc. is coming Friday. Next week they will connect water, septic, electric, propane, etc. Hopefully we’ll be moving stuff in another week.

The house is quite nice inside and out, although a little more compact than what I’m used to lol. I guess when you downsize, you DOWNsize. It’s fine, though, and quite nicely done. My ensuite is my favorite room - 5’ walk-in shower, my own linen closet, vanity and toilet, and a nice window that looks out over the pasture....because a lovely view when sitting in the washroom is very important lol.

The kitchen is nice - all stainless appliances, octagonal island in the middle (perfect for rolling out pie crust!), windows on each side for cross breeze, lots of cupboard space. There’s a nice bay window on one end, living room small but that’s fine as I won’t have to buy as much new furniture lol. Maybe a sofa and two chairs. Third bedroom for tv room is perfect size. All in all, just right. Two new decks being built in another couple of weeks....one side will look over the field on the farm that they grow crops, so very quiet, the other faces the yard and the house and the rest of the farm and sheep pasture.

I apologize as I haven’t been keeping up with much lately, except the odd thing about what a shameful situation is unfolding in Afghanistan. I don’t know how this rogue regime can continue to destroy the country as everyone seems helpless to do anything about it. The same thing is going on up here, with vaccine passports now being foisted upon us in Ontario. It’s diabolical.

I hope everyone is keeping as well as can be expected. I think often of our dear Vlad. Such terrifying times right now.

Love to all. Maranatha.

Feisty mom, good for her. I’m sure losing her son was madevveven worse, knowing if Trump was President, all those 13 heroes would still be alive.

Cheating isn’t winning. I need that bumpermsticker.

Thanks for checking in, Judy.

Sounds like the house, and all associated necessities, are coming together, nicely.

The house sounds perfect!

I can’t wait to hear more, once you’re settled in. The decks will be SO nice...like extended living areas....during parts of the year, anyway.

A great respite from the evil that’s taking place, in the world, for sure.

Maranatha, indeed.

Thanks for suggesting that.

Good morning to you, Judy!

Your new home sounds very lovely, glad to see that things are moving right along, won’t be long before you are greeting us from your new place.

Love what the views will be from all the windows.

We need pictures when all is settled, please.

I sure do understand DOWNSIZING, once had a YUGE home with full basement, 5 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, but then we began downsizing kids at home, no need for ALL that room.

My problem was, except for kids bedroom stuff which I told them to take with them, I would try to cram all my stuff into much smaller space, never worked, had to get rid of much, probably need to move again to declutter. No I think we won’t be doing that unless it is into the old folks home.

Keep us abreast of the latest happenings in “The Moving Adventures of Judy, From City to Farm Life.”

Wow, that looks yummy. I’ll take the pancakes. Although as usual I’m having it for lunch :-)

Different reason today though, it’s not like I’ve been doing anything. I fell down the stairs and wrenched my knee last night. So it’s taken me this long just to get a shower and feed the animals.

Sometimes God tells me to slow down and smell the roses, enjoy his handiwork. This sort of thing is usually what it takes.

Private payrolls increase by just 374,000 in August, far short of the 600,000 estimate, ADP says

PUBLISHED WED, SEP 1 20218:15 AM EDTUPDATED 2 MIN AGO

FTA
U.S. companies created far fewer jobs than expected in August as the Covid resurgence coincided with cutbacks in hiring, according to a report Wednesday from payroll services firm ADP.

Private payrolls rose just 374,000 for the month, well below the Dow Jones estimate of 600,000 though above July’s 326,000, which was revised downward slightly from initial 330,000 reading.

Most of the new jobs came from leisure and hospitality, which added 201,000 positions in a somewhat hopeful sign that an industry beset by a labor shortage continues to recover.

Education and health services combined to add 59,000 for the month as hospitals in some parts of the country were swamped with virus cases and schools begin to reopen.

“The delta variant of COVID-19 appears to have dented the job market recovery,” said Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Analytics, which works with ADP on the report. “Job growth remains strong, but well off the pace of recent months. Job growth remains inextricably tied to the path of the pandemic.”

The apparent letdown comes at a pivotal time.

Following a robust recovery from the shortest but steepest recession in U.S. history, economic data of late has been disappointing, possibly reflecting pullbacks from this summer’s surge of the Covid delta variant. The U.S. has been averaging about 150,000 new cases a day following a burst in July and August.

Markets are awaiting Friday’s nonfarm payrolls report, which is expected to show 720,000 new jobs added and an unemployment rate falling to 5.2%, according to Dow Jones estimates.

Wall Street initially shrugged off the ADP report, with stock market futures still pointing to a higher open. However, major averages were mixed in late-morning trade and government bond yields were little changed.

The ADP numbers could be pointing to a softer Labor Department report, though the firm’s count has been an unreliable indicator in 2021.

ADP’s tally averaged a growth of 495,000 jobs per month through July; the Labor report showed an average increase of 617,000 during that period. The two reports also diverged sharply in July, with the official count at 943,000 compared with ADP’s 326,000.

According to ADP, the weakest job growth for August came in small businesses, which added just 86,000 positions. Companies with 50 to 499 employees led with 149,000, while big business contributed 138,000.

Elsewhere at the sector level, services accounted for 329,000 of the total, with professional and business services growing by 19,000 and trade, transportation and utilities adding 18,000.

Of the 45,000 goods-producing jobs, 30,000 came from construction, 9,000 from natural resources and mining and 6,000 from manufacturing.

Federal Reserve officials are watching the jobs numbers carefully.

Recent statements out of the central bank indicate that it likely will slow the pace of its monthly purchases of bonds so long as job growth continues apace. Officials have been largely optimistic about the employment picture, though they note that about 6 million fewer workers are holding jobs now than before the pandemic

“WW2 started 82 years ago today, when Germany AND the Soviet Union invaded Poland on Sept. 1, 1939.”

And today Poland and other former Eastern Bloc countries are the most conservative in the world. They learned the evils of Communism the hard way, by having it forced upon them.
