John Sullivan was there to egg this entire thing on and film it.
The Babbitt family should sue him in civil liabilities and take his 80k windfall for filming his snuff film for CNN.
These people are evil. Pure evil
Some very high up Congress Critter told Lt. Byrd, “Go to the end of the hall, take cover, and shoot the first person who breaks through the door.”
Byrd was under orders. It’s why he was exonerated. Otherwise, they would have to charge the guy who ordered him to do it.
Pelosi?
I’m sure there is video.
on every corner D C has more cameras than a blackmailers bedroom. How come none of the video has been released?
Who were these police? Is there video?
here’s the video.

Breathless hyperbole from the LA Times, reaching a new low, even for them.
The Op Ed columnist is full of shit. He says that he is not a police officer, etc. so he is just “jawing” from what he saw on a video that even contradicts what he saw/said.
Babbit was rioting in the sense of attacking a closed door but she was not “going through” the door, only attempting to get through the window at its top. That hardly put her in an “attack mode/position”.
In fact, it made it easier for any trained law enforcement officer to grab her by her extended arm and pull her down to the floor to cuff her. My son, a federal police officer, twice helped to take down a crazy, armed street person, without anyone getting hurt, but he had more FEDERAL AUTHORITY to shoot and kill an assailant than most other police officers in the country/government. It came with his job of protecting nuclear facilities from criminal and terrorist attacks, but he and his team used their training to disarm the two separate assailants.
Oh, by the way, most, of not all of his team, were combat veterans of Iraq, Afghanistan, or both combat theaters.
Also, what was the acoustics of ONE SHOT in a room into a person being heard by other protestors and/or rioters? Having worked in both House and Senate offices, I would say, “Almost nil” outside of the immediate hallway.
There were other people at the door where Babbit was killed, and some were violent, obviously, but tear gas and pepper spray would have stopped them in their tracks. As a reporter I’ve eaten my share of both, and nobody shot me by accident or on purpose.
Babbit was deliberately shot and killed, and the shooter should have been charged with at least Third Degree Homicide - Manslaughter, and possibly depraved indifference or malicious wounding/killing.
I hope the family sues all the govt players/agencies involved in order to get all the documents/evidence the Govt claims to have which justified the shooting in the first place.
There have been a handful of awful govt coverups of “bad shoots” in the last year or two, including the Ghaisar killing in Maryland where all charges against the police shooters were just dropped in a very questionable court decision.
I felt that the Ferguson shooting of Gray? was totally justified and that of Trayvon Martin in Florida, was sadly justified (based on his attack on Zimmerman/his injuries). I do not feel that the actions taken with George Floyd were justified, in part.
I’ve been involved with law enforcement agencies in one manner or another over the past 50 years and have an AAC (Certificate in lieu of degree) in Police Science. I’ve worked with great cops and seen terrible ones (one was a buddy-fucker - law enforcement people will know what I mean), a few nasty cops (who I had sent through Internal Affairs), and a lot of very brave Police officers, FBI agents, Military Intel investigators, special police units (including the case of an assassination of a Police Officer by a terrorist), etc. I also was an FBI undercover CI and dealt with foreign agents, future terrorists, terrorists legal defenders, and possibly Soviet spies.
Most of my friends and mentors were FBI, CIA, DIA, ASA, PDs and the frontline members of the OSS during WW2, and members of the anti-Nazi resistance in several countries. I learned from the “best, brightest and bravest”.
That is why I wrote the above. When you get shit-for-brain “writers” who don’t know the field, law enforcement, and possibly never having been in a real riot, you get “shit for content”.
Like assholes, everyone has an opinion, but too many “opinions” come without “experience”, and just stink like the crap that comes from their rear.
We owe it to “justice” to have “all the facts, madam, just the facts”.
I hate it when incompetent writers, or supposed writers, don’t know the basics of “law enforcement” or never “walked the walk”. “Ride Alongs” are useful but don’t count as anything more than a day-tripper few seconds view of the real world.
POS from shithole Lost Angeles.
It’s not hard to figure
The demographic profile of ownership changed and is living up to the stereotype
You have to be in denial to not see this trend
I dont know though
Print media is dying
Only her head was sticking through the window
He panicked
She had police with her on that side so the window...
And they were not shooting her
There was video before of cops with her freaking out when she was murdered
The idiot who shot her was a person of color who panicked and shot a white woman military vet in her face
He had a history of twisted actions
Media
Politicians
Tech
All act in collusion to suppress this
Mostly to preserve their right to kil babies and protect queers and sexual freaks rights

That is exactly it WD.
Try bringing any one of those items aboard an aircraft. If the TSA had its way, we’d all be duct-taped to our seats.
“when police were being savagely beaten elsewhere in the building.”
This was not a peaceful antifa meeting.
Entering through the window was justification enough. Honest people use doors. She was perceived to be a threat to the safety of the representatives who sought refuge in that room. She was the vanguard of a larger incursion.
Wrong on both counts. The glass in the door was broken by John Sullivan, FBI agent, who then stood aside and encouraged her to climb thru the opening he created. He then went behind police lines to change his clothes, and disappear. There were no 'mobs' in the hallway at the time she was shot; there were 3? police trailing her who backed off as she approached the broken door.
Dear Nik Goldblat,
What I want to know are the names of the two guys
who boosted Ashli up into the killing zone.
You know, the ones standing just in front of the special
squad...who were actually in the line of fire. Hmmmmm?
Might be interesting.
Taser broken?
