US Capitol Police says shooting of January 6 rioter Ashli Babbitt was 'lawful'

The US Capitol Police officer who shot and killed pro-Trump rioter Ashli Babbitt on January 6 will not face any disciplinary action, the department said Monday.

"USCP's Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) determined the officer's conduct was lawful and within Department policy, which says an officer may use deadly force only when the officer reasonably believes that action is in the defense of human life, including the officer's own life, or in the defense of any person in immediate danger of serious physical injury," the department said in a statement.

The officer will not be named, the department said, out of consideration for the officer's safety.

What a travesty of justice. An unarmed woman presented precisely what sort of imminent danger?

Shooting an unarmed woman teetering on a window frame is saving lives?

Welcome to Democratland.

Clearly none of these criteria could have been satisfied.

“Department policy, which says an officer may use deadly force only when the officer reasonably believes that action is in the defense of human life, including the officer’s own life, or in the defense of any person in immediate danger of serious physical injury,”

Name names, a-holes.
Publish investigation documents, a-holes.
As long as you a-holes cover this up, we are right to hold you all in the deepest suspicion. What are you hiding? As if anyone with a brain doesn’t know.

No there wouldn’t.

Not if it didn’t serve Deep State’s purposes.

Look at all the people of color were disenfranchised by The Steal.

Not all black lives matter to Deep State.

Here’s something the family or Judicial Watch can do....Get the report. Even tell them to redact the name of the shooter. But the report is going to say why he felt deadly force was necessary. It’ll show whose life he was protecting from death or serious physical injury.

This right here, if nothing else, is proof positive that pretty much, EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF CONGRESS, needs to be replaced.

And that they need to do 3 things on its first day......there are many more, but these 3 would be a great start, IMHO

Term limits with the exception that if the constituents think their rep is doing such a great job, they can write him/her in, but it has to be an overwhelming majority....at least 66% of the vote

Repeal of the 17th Amendment

Eliminate all the laws that have been passed that protect Congress and the Capitol Police from FOIA requests

Not even a chance. She was climbing through the window, and if I’m not mistaken fell back into the hallway. She was unarmed and the video shows she wasn’t close to him nor charging him with any kind of weapon.

Guess the 21’ Rule doesn’t not apply.

Amazing what you can get away with when you don’t have to defend yourself in court.

another case of Black Privilege. It’s all part of reparations, they’re allowed to kill one white person without penalty.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Constitution of the United States of America
Amendment I

Obviously the government did not protect that particular inalienable right.

If a government fails to protect the inalienable rights of its citizens, is it an illegitimate government?

I thought he’d get a Congressional Medal for heroism or something. Fought off an invading army - reminds me of the Alamo, except this guy held the fort.

I did see enough facts to demonstrate that the shooter complied with the law.
