Police were investigating a report Thursday of a possible explosive device in a pickup truck outside the Library of Congress on Capitol Hill and have evacuated multiple buildings on the sprawling Capitol complex, two law enforcement officials told The Associated Press.
U.S. Capitol Police said officers were “responding to a suspicious vehicle near the Library of Congress,” and that it was an “active bomb threat investigation.”
The building is near the Capitol and the Supreme Court. Police have also evacuated congressional offices nearby, encouraging people to remain calm and use the underground tunnels if necessary to leave the area. Staffers were seen walking quickly out of nearby buildings at the direction of law enforcement. Congress is on recess this week.
The law enforcement officials said investigators on the scene were working to determine whether the device was an operable explosive and whether the man in the truck was holding a detonator. Police were sending snipers to the scene, according to the officials.

Oh my! She just threw that in there as if it was nothing. And no additional information? Like what is considered early?
And how about a reason. I’m thinking it doesn’t make sense if it’s the same vaccine, if they weren’t changed at all I mean. Then that means everybody who got a vaccine will be at increased risk, it just might be a little later. They should be letting everybody know how many months after you get the vaccine are you at increased risk.
But of course we won’t hear this from the LSM. But they just keep giving us more data as to why we shouldn’t be vaccinated.
And what is with those facial expressions of the sign language lady! I keep thinking it’s a Saturday night live spiff. I’ve seen someone do sign language at church, she never makes strange facial expressions.
Just thought of something, the people at the Babylon bee ought to start writing for Saturday Night Live. It would be much better.

Morning s&s. I never seem to be here early in the morning, even if I am up. I like to get up and get stuff done like taking the dog for a walk and cleaning the kitchen Etc. That’s so by the time I make my coffee grab my tablet and go out to the pool house I can really relax and enjoy reading through the posts. Otherwise I feel like I have to hurry to get stuff done. I don’t know why, nobody is grading me.

The private liberal arts college in New Haven County announced the new penalties on Aug. 16 in an email sent to some 600 students who haven’t yet provided proof of COVID-19 vaccination or requested an exemption.
Students at Quinnipiac were required to submit their vaccination records by Aug. 1, according to an email obtained by The Epoch Times.
Those not in compliance by Sept. 14 will begin to face $100 weekly fines, with increases of $25 after every two weeks, up to a maximum of $200 per week. They also won’t be able to use the school’s campus network and Wi-Fi.
Students could be fined up to $2,275 in total for the fall term, the university warned. The penalties cover those who don’t receive a vaccine, as well as exempted students who miss weekly COVID-19 testing. There will be a $100 fine for each missed test.
Students who received one dose of a two-dose regimen by Aug. 25 won’t face a fine, as long as they are fully vaccinated by Sept. 14, the university officials said. But they still need to participate in weekly testing until two weeks after their second dose and upload a negative test result before returning to campus.

That was a well-written article with great points. Thanks for sharing. Liberals have never been strong on unintended consequences. I don’t know why all they have to do is ask a conservative, we can tell right away what the outcome of any disastrous policy will be.
Good morning! I hope you had a good night sleep last night.
I got up at 6 yesterday to go get a bushel of apples, a bushel of canning peaches, and a half bushel of eating peaches. The local Mennonite store I was selling them. From Pennsylvania I imagine they have connections there. It was so cute though I’ve never been in that store early in the morning. Almost everybody had nice dresses and had those little hats. I didn’t know this area had a lot of them.
So today I need to start doing some canning. I was feeling at a loss of what to do since I need to prep better. So this is a start.
