Cat slide
I’ve had multiple cats since 1976 so believe me, I understand combing, grooming, furminating and claw clipping just fine. However, bathing is not necessary if the cats look and smell clean, which ours do. We have 8 now. Two of them sleep with me.
There was that time in the early 2000s, however, that I decided to chemically de-flea the house and bathe all our cats in flea shampoo on the same day. That was an ordeal, and I have scars to prove it. But it didn’t last. In Florida, fleas will find a way inside, even if the cats don’t go outside, and once they do, they make themselves at home if there are animals there even if you don’t have carpeting, and it’s a never-ending cycle. So I flea comb them all daily, and we keep pans of soapy water out with lights over them, to entice some of the fleas to drown their sorry selves. But bathing the cats would only piss them off, and the fleas would find them again in no time flat anyway. Oddly enough, the cats who live on the screened patio don’t have fleas, just the ones inside the air conditioned part of the house. They’ve got their own little ecosystem going.
I think the current youngest cat would let me bathe him, but I have no desire. He goes to visit the patio cats, and if it rains, he runs and splashes through the puddles. He also climbs into the shower with me sometimes. But he’s weird for a cat.
G’RRRRRRRR.
Been flash flooding here on and off for weeks

same here in MA! Thunder storms for days, and more coming all week!

Not a bad thing either though. If it hadn’t been for all that rain the whole state would have burned down with all the damn fireworks going off.
And my lawn and veggies are happy.

Thanks for the link. I book marked it. I didn’t see any vitamins or OTC supplements though.
Sorry, no sale. Apples and oranges and... what’s the name of that stinky fruit? lol!
Well, dogs get stinky, and need baths. And humans sweat all over. Cats sweat efficiently through their paw pads. Indoor cats do just fine, and look and feel just fine, as long as we keep their fur groomed and free of excess shed hair.
And no, I have no desire to get massaged. My husband does, but that’s because he’s got lots of aches and pains. The cats vary (a lot!) in how much they like to be petted and stroked.
++!!!
prayers for you both, LP
“do you know who he is?”

Now we have the Assassination of the Haitian President and an investigative reporter, who it is rumored spoke with the President shortly before being gunned down. I have been trying to see if there was any info to tie the two together.
I wonder what the reporter was investigating that led to his call on the President, (if he did in fact call).
Not getting much as of yet. But posting some info that may be relevant down the road:

Look back: Peter R. de Vries critical of corona apps
POSTED ON APRIL 8, 8:34 P.M.
Peter R. de Vries has an opinion on many things, including corona apps. Although he sees the positive side of it, he mainly questions the apps. “Privacy is something very sensitive. We should not focus on the positive effects and see what it means for the future.”
In my profession, phones are also used for detection. In fact, an innocent app is already widely used as a pedometer in the resolution of murder cases. And of course it wasn't developed for that.”

So I read the thread about the person that got killed by a bear while out camping.
Reminds me of the time I was about 8 years old and we were camping in Yellowstone National Park.
I had gone to take a shower, and after getting dressed, I opened the bathroom door to go outside and return to our camper. Smack dab right there before me in all it’s scary magnificence was a huge bear.
Slammed that door fast and screamed. No one heard me. Finally after almost an hour, I hear my mom calling my name. I hollered and told her there was a bear outside the door.
A whole bunch of campers got pots, pans, and spoons and and made all sorts of noise as the approached from several directions - leaving a clear avenue of escape for the bear.
The bear rambled off, not very fast - so I don’t think it was really scared. At any rate, it was scary, and I sure had trouble trying to go to sleep.
We heard all sorts of stories about stupid people doing stupid stuff. Like the woman that put her kid on a bear’s back to take a picture... SMH.
Har!
Fell asleep at the wheel.
Need to take a 5 hour energy before posting
