Danny Smith (Source: Vickie Wilbanks) OCONEE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – An 8-year-old and a 9-year-old boy have been charged with killing a man who was shot with a rifle while cutting down brush in a South Carolina field, authorities said.
Both boys shot at Danny Andrew Smith with a rifle as he rode his tractor in the field near Westminster on June 23, Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw said in a statement.
Deputies responded to Coffee Road last week after a missing man’s wife was looking for her husband after not being able to make contact with him.

The problem with .22LR isn’t that it won’t kill - obviously, it can - it’s that it usually doesn’t stop/kill *fast enough* from a reasonable range.
That’s because most of those deaths are suicides, and the .22LR works just fine for that at contact range.
Because 3% of the population (Black males 16-35) commit 50% of the homicides in the US. But you go on ahead and keep your head in the sand so no one will call you “racist”.

I’ve seen more game killed with a 22 LR than any other caliber and yes that includes bear. My x wife is a Nurse Practitioner and said they hated 22 worse than any other injury because most big stuff will pass straight through, a 22 you had to cut someone up just to see what all it bounced around and went through.
I personally wouldn’t chose it for killing yourself because I knew a guy who shot himself thru the temple and it came out the other side he even walked to the ambulance and for a few days was doing good then the brain swelling came on and that’s what killed him, come to find out he really didn’t won’t to die.. but yeah a 22 will kill...

Crime happened in 1993, but UK being a soft socialist country, they got out on parole in 2001. However, it is lifetime parole, so one of them went back in the slam last year, sentenced to 40 months for breaking the parole provisions; and it's likely they both will be in and out of gaol for the rest of their stinking lives. Typically, they would be called ‘youths’ if that were the case (’teens’ otherwise, and ‘adolescents’ if they were into the occult or did drugs).
So, probably some white kids having fun and not looking where they were shooting. Horrible, though.
The worst they could get would be manslaughter. Who’s ready to prove that two boys under ten even understood the consequences of their actions? In their world, you just hit the reset button and the target is alive again.
Regardless of their race, they’re too young to be prosecuted for anything more severe than manslaughter. And that would be only if you could prove they knew what they were doing and knew who they were shooting at.
You see your making assumptions, your not basing anything on the facts. We don’t know their race. Plenty of times I have read of crimes and the assumption was it was black or to was white and it turned out to blow your mind. Just like that pair driving around D.C. years ago. Well all the experts said it a lone white guy killing people, it turned out to be a Black and and a black kid doing it.
I will wait to see what the facts are and resist the temptation to jump in right now.
What do you do with them? Wait til 21 then the long drop?
Since we’re all speculating without knowing the full story maybe the guy was a molester and deserved being shot.

If you think you can hit a man in the eye 10 out of 10 times from 30 ft in a combat situation, you’re the very best and calmest shooter on this forum.
And in America, 9mm kills more than any other caliber.
I’ll not only provide the rope but will be more than willing to pull the trapdoor switch, tears no longer move me, seen to many shed only because some lowlife got CAUGHT!
Until society decides it really needs to PUNISH the guilty, the criminality will continue unabated.
Robbers and petty criminals should be on chained road gangs.
Child molesters, Rapists, and Murderers should be executed in the most expeditious manner available.

I don’t really care as long as it’s done ASAP after trial and conviction, this 30 years of appeals crap has proven it doesn’t work for society.
The robbers and petty criminals may change their ways after doing time, the other 3 categories never have and never will, better to just not let them have another go at an innocent person!
