It sure did! I didn't think about smallpox until I read the article about it making a comeback as a biological weapon but there was something different about the first ones compared to the vaccinations for it we have now.

Our scars are nothing compared to the ones out parents carried. I remember on both my mother and my father, the scar was perfectly round, slightly indented, and about 2/3 the diameter of a dime.
