That's what I was thinking after my initial response. The level of articulation probably varies quite a bit depending on the sport. Talking to a skateboarder or BMX would probably be different than a golfer or even tennis.
Also the tennis players, basketball players & baseball players to name a couple, probably have a lot more experience with interviews. Most of the baseball players are AAA, with a few having major league experience & have probably done even a little bit of press. The tennis players are also pro & would have had press experience.
