Funny that, just like the last sixteen months, they never tell you what kind of mask to wear, or provide everyone with a mask that really works.

That is because there is no mask that will stop a COVID-19 particle. Oh, and you need your eyes covered as well.

The truth is--none of the masks in common use work--but they make their liberal wearers feel so superior and smug.

Cloth masks do nothing to stop COVID-19.

N-95 is better, but does not filter exhaust, so it spreads anything the wearer is shedding.

But wait, we have the surgical mask! You know, the one designed to only catch the spittle of the folks in the OR from landing in your open wound:

One of the problems is usually no one will run against an incumbent and if someone did most of the population in each state just keeps marking the same congressman and senator over and over. It is the peoples fault they are still in there.

You are right.

Most people have gotten lazy, won't take the time to research candidates and just go with the familiar name.

Twitter announces it is closing its New York and San Francisco offices indefinitely and pausing reopening of other locations following updated CDC warnings about the COVID Delta variant

Twitter has announced the closure of its two largest offices in NYC and San Francisco which only reopened two weeks ago

Twitter said they were also announcing a ‘pause’ on ‘future office reopenings, effective immediately’

In an announcement, the company said it was because of the Delta variant

But CEO Jack Dorsey’s plans to turn the company remote predate the pandemic

In a 2019 earnings call, he said the San Francisco office doesn’t serve the company well

He also encouraged staff in 2018 to work from home because he’d been doing it and he found it productive

The company says the pandemic escalated a plan that was already in place

Earlier on Wednesday Google and Facebook announced they were making COVID vaccinations compulsory for when staff return in the fall

The changes are all in light of the Delta variant sweeping the country and causing a spike in hospitalizations in areas of largely unvaccinated people
