Not too bad, I moved everybody downstairs fairly quickly. They are all taking it in stride better than I am!
COVID cases among migrants in Rio Grande Valley sector surge 900% as border numbers continue to rise
There were 135 COVID-positive migrants in the first 2 weeks of July, Fox News learned

EXCLUSIVE: The number of detainees who tested positive for COVID-19 in the Rio Grande Valley (RGV) Sector alone has increased by 900%, according to information obtained by Fox News.
There were 135 detainees who tested positive in the first two weeks of July alone, marking a 900% increase in confirmed positive cases compared to the previous 14 months.
The RGV sector is one of the main destinations for migrants crossing the border, seeing more than 2000 apprehensions each day and accounting for 60% of confirmed positive detainees in the U.S. Border Patrol custody.
This information was obtained exclusively from a slide distributed to RGV Border Patrol managers to share with agents to help them protect themselves from the virus.
In a local radio interview with KURV 710 AM Tuesday in McAllen, Texas, RGV Sector Chief Brian Hastings spoke about COVID cases among agents and said he’s had more than 40 of his agents test positive this fiscal year.
Border Patrol does not typically test migrants when they are initially taken into custody — instead they are tested when they are transferred, either to Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) custody if they are unaccompanied children, or to nongovernmental organizations if they are part of a family unit for transport into the U.S.
The Biden administration has been struggling to get a grip of the crisis at the southern border, which saw more than 188,000 migrants encountered in June alone — including a 25% increase in the number of family units encountered.
Currently, the majority of those encountered are turned back due to Title 42 public health protections put in place during the Trump administration. Just under 105,000 of those encounters in June resulted in a Title 42 expulsion.
However, the Biden administration is not turning away unaccompanied children or most migrant families (just 8,000 encounters out of more than 55,000 migrant family encounters resulted in a Title 42 expulsion).
Furthermore, it is reported to be planning to end Title 42 for migrant families later this month, with other reports suggesting it would be ended altogether for single adults shortly after.
Republicans and former Trump officials have warned of potential public health consequences if that were to happen, noting that many of the countries from where the migrants have traveled are often behind the U.S. in terms of vaccinations.
“Mexico is not where we’re at, the Northern Triangle countries aren’t where we’re at, there are multiple countries in Western Hemisphere that are not where America is at when it comes to vaccines and dealing with COVID,” former acting CBP Commissioner Mark Morgan told Fox News this month.
“But they’re still going to open it up to people in these countries to come from, to transverse through to get to our country, and allow them in — it’s absolutely endangering American lives and once again shows this administration puts America last and everyone else first.”

And we’re free to choose where we spend our money. At least until COVID came along small businesses were forced to close.
Follow their lead and take a nap! LOL
God bless her.
I’d love to but I had 2 cups of coffee! Maybe I’ll sweep down here. There are all these disgusting worm things
Has Mr. Potato Head or the Airhead (Jen, not Harris) addressed this, since they’re so worried about people getting vaccinated?
Conservative talk radio host Larry Elder files lawsuit over California recall ballot
Conservative talk radio host Larry Elder has filed a lawsuit challenging a decision by California election officials to block him from running in the state’s Sept. 14 recall election, saying he’s the target of political “shenanigans” by Sacramento Democrats.
The Republican Elder said in a statement issued late Monday that he filed all the necessary paperwork to qualify to run in the election that could remove Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom from office, including over 300 pages of tax returns that are required to become a candidate. But the Secretary of State’s office did not include Elder on a preliminary list of 41 candidates issued last weekend, saying he filed incomplete information on those returns connected to redaction issues.
Elder’s campaign said he filed suit Monday seeking an order from state Superior Court in Sacramento requiring Secretary of State Shirley Weber to list Elder as a candidate on the final certified list of candidates, scheduled to be issued Wednesday.

Texas Democrat ‘Fleebaggers’ Will No Longer Release Daily Coronavirus Case Count as Number Rises
We’re focusing on our daily testing, following and going beyond CDC guidelines, social distancing, and wearing masks as much as possible,” she said in a statement. “We’re just not going to release daily counts.”
On Saturday, the Texas House Democratic Caucus leadership affirmed that three members who went on the trip to D.C., shirking their legislative duties, tested positive for the Chinese coronavirus, despite being fully vaccinated.
“The House Democratic Caucus is following all CDC guidance and protocols,” House Democratic Caucus Chairman Chris Turner said in a statement Saturday.
“This is a sober reminder that COVID is still with us, and though vaccinations offer tremendous protection, we still must take necessary precautions,” he continued.
“We are in touch with public health experts in Texas to provide additional guidance. Our caucus will follow all recommendations from public health experts as we continue our work,” he added.
That number increased to six as of Monday.
... apparently a few more DC officials have tested positive for CV after meeting these dems.
👍👍
Thanks.
“Texas Governor Abbott exports infected democrats to DC to infect WH”
Of course not! We can’t have the truth getting out, about the fleeeeebaggers!
Btw, is Nanzi now in quarantine .... since some of her staff were infected?
They are really screwing with Larry. I like Larry & have listened to him for decades on the radio. I even met him at the Nixon Library many many years ago when he was on KABC. I believe it was at a Recall Davis event. Having said that, I'm not sure why he waited until the end to file his paperwork, just incase something like this happened.

Swalwell Had Meetings With Qatari Charity Tied to Terrorist Groups
CHUCK ROSS JUL 20, 2021 2:45 PM
FTA
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D., Calif.), the House Intelligence Committee member who was targeted by a foreign spy during his early days in Congress, has met twice in the past nine months with a Hamas-linked charity that spends hundreds of millions of dollars each year to influence U.S. universities.
Swalwell and four other House members visited the Qatar Foundation headquarters in April during a four-day trip hosted by the US-Qatar Business Council, according to an itinerary of the junket. The delegation met with Qatar’s emir, government leaders, and Qatar Foundation officials to discuss business opportunities for the members’ districts. The trip drew attention after photos surfaced of Swalwell and Rep. Ruben Gallego (D., Ariz.) riding shirtless on camels in Qatar’s desert. Swalwell also visited Qatar Foundation headquarters with two fellow Democrats during a trip to Doha last October.
Swalwell’s meetings with the controversial charity raise additional questions about his position on the powerful House Intelligence Committee. Republicans called for Swalwell to be stripped of his committee assignment last year after it was revealed that he had a close relationship through 2015 with an alleged Chinese spy named Christine Fang. Fang helped raise money for Swalwell’s 2014 congressional campaign and allegedly placed an intern in his congressional office.
The Qatar Foundation, founded in 1995 by Qatar’s then-emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, says its mission is to promote scientific research and educational advancement in the Middle East and across the globe. The foundation has faced scrutiny in recent years over its alleged links to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. Its funding of satellite campuses for dozens of U.S. schools has also fueled concerns that the foundation has infiltrated the colleges in order to push its political views and downplay the Qatari royal family’s close ties to terror groups.
The Lawfare Project, a legal group based in New York City, said in a report last year that the Qatar Foundation’s “infiltration” of American schools has turned “school teachers into de facto agents of the Qatari government, conveying its political (and anti-Semitic) views to students and the general population without any acknowledgment of the origins of these views.”
The foundation, which registers with the Justice Department as a foreign agent, has numerous links to terror groups and to clerics who have espoused anti-Semitic views. It opened an academic center in 2009 named after Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, a leading Muslim Brotherhood figure who lives in exile in Doha. Al-Qaradawi said in a 2009 speech that Adolf Hitler “put [Jews] in their place,” according to the Middle East Media Research Institute.
The Daily Beast reported in 2015 that al-Qaradawi was in attendance at the opening of a Qatar Foundation mosque in Doha that featured a long roster of anti-Semitic clerics.
One Qatar Foundation official, Haya al-Nassr, awarded Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh with a “victory shield” during a ceremony in 2012. During Hamas’s rocket attacks on Israel in May, professors at the foundation’s Northwestern and Georgetown University satellite campuses called Israel an “apartheid” state.
The US-Qatar Business Council, which promotes trade between the United States and Qatar, paid $19,000 for travel, lodging, and meals for Swalwell and his wife, according to disclosures filed with Congress. Business Insider first reported that Swalwell, Gallego, Reps. Sara Jacobs (D., Calif.), Lou Correa (D., Calif.), and Lisa McClain (R., Mich.) made the trip.
One focus of the junket was the FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Qatar next year. The itinerary for the trip says the representatives met with Qatari officials to discuss security plans for the tournament, as well as business opportunities for U.S. companies. Qatar has come under fire from human rights groups who say the regime uses slave labor to build the stadiums and facilities that will host the tournament. Amnesty International called on FIFA in March to pressure Qatar to end abuse of migrant workers building infrastructure for the tournament.
Swalwell visited Qatar Foundation’s Education City last year with Reps. Jim Himes (D., Conn.) and Seth Moulton (D., Mass.) to learn about Qatar’s medical innovation in the field of precision genetics, Gulf Times reported. Education City is the site of satellite campuses for U.S. colleges that partner with the Qatar Foundation, including Northwestern, Georgetown, and Texas A&M. Himes, who also sits on the House Intelligence Committee, praised Qatar’s gender rights record during an interview about the trip.
“It’s also a model for reform in the Arab world and a leader in women’s rights. Qatar is a linchpin in the Middle East and provides a bridge between the Islamic world and the West,” Himes said.
According to Human Rights Watch, Qatar still maintains so-called male guardianship rules that require women to obtain permission from their male guardians in order to marry, study abroad, work in government jobs, and receive birth control.
Swalwell’s office did not respond to a request for comment.
