I have no idea what those other words mean. But it was the only real wood they had that was under four dollars a square foot. It was even cheaper than some of the engineered stuff. The colors seem to go with our window casings and the stairs well enough. They have Anderson windows everywhere, with the reddish casing that needs to be re-stained. So I think it will all look nice together when it’s finished.
Here in Tennessee you don’t have to pay tax on the materials if the same people you buy them from install it. It’s quite a deal since our sales tax is high. The mom and pop stores won’t do it, even though it is state law. At least the one place we checked in town. Tried to give them our business but why should we pay almost 10% more. We even printed out the law and brought it to them, they didn’t seem to understand it and didn’t want to. So we’re going with Home Depot and I’m sure a bunch of illegals will show up to install it.
