He explained how Abbott is talking tough and appears to be doing things, like building the wall but not putting enough money or time into doing it right. I have no dog in the fight & am not close to the situation and from what I see, both West & Abbott seem pretty good.
I will say, it is easy to find criticism & point out mistakes when one is on the outside & not in the position. The criticisms might be fair, or the person making them, might not have all the information.

I remember Georgetown/Round Rock as being fairly conservative. Of course, this was years ago, when Georgetown was dry and we had to go to Round Rock to get beer, LOL!
Evidently the demographics have shifted. Why, I bet you can even buy beer in Georgetown now!
