Like I said up thread it seems to happen quite often. They mostly believe it is weather related extreme cold or extreme heat. There are several speculations like smoke etc but I don’t think they have found any poisonings so far.

Now, that is something I’ve considered lately, with all these news reports and also the tv shows. I remember back in my youth (40-50 years ago) alien abduction was suggested as a possible explanation that would be given for the Rapture to those left behind.
Yes, I can remember such reports even in the 70s and 80s. Those always seemed to turn out to be very localized and due to such things as some farmer spraying something, or pollution. Don’t think any of the die-offs were close to me.
My brain keeps thinking food supply, but that doesn’t jive since it’s only 3 types of birds it seems to be affecting. I just hope the scientists don’t decide it’s contagious and want to put masks on the birds...
