Nice little town. Bit less than an hour from The Homestead, depending on weather.
Don't know about that outhouse, although there have been a bunch of Tourist Trap Oddities like that constructed, especially when you get closer to Yellowstone.
Got extra familiar with Reed Point about five years ago. Had a major league fire along about fifty miles of the Interstate around there. You still can see the Sierra Club Clear Cut on the South side of the road.
Sierra Club Clear Cut = The unburned/half-burned leftovers from a fire that have been declared off-limits to reclamation/recovery of any usable timber by proclamation of Environazis and their pet Judges.
Nice deal. Now we get to wait for the next lightning strike to set off the tinder box they've left so maybe the [BLEEPS] can get somebody killed (or at least burned out) in the next fire.

I just woke up from a dream.....I was dreaming of lysie whipping up a few pies for breakfast this morning! Pumpkin, apple, pecan.....all the good ones.

People who call the few-hour riot at the Capitol by unarmed protesters an “insurrection” are bad people who are harming the country. PARTICULARLY so if they don’t use term for the months-long violent, coordinated attacks on White House, federal courthouses, small businesses, etc.
I’m infinitely more terrified of powerful people calling the riot an “insurrection” and rewriting reality as a ploy to seize unlimited/unaccountable power and brutally oppress their political opponents than I am of Mr. Buffalo Head or Grandma-in-the-Rotunda, or Mr. Feet on Desk.
Also, to call it “deadly” after spending months brazenly lying that protesters killed a cop while downplaying the fact that the only killing was of an unarmed protester by a still-anonymous cop is ... peak propaganda.

I didn’t have any dreams (although they say everyone has dreams, I never remember any) but I did wake up to a surprise this morning!
I received the email regarding this month’s water bill overnight. Discovered a refund of the $150 deposit I paid when I bought my house four years ago! I guess they hold on to the deposit that long due to people being in the military. Anyway, my bill runs about $40 a month, so I have a little over 3 months without a water bill.
