We had family get-togethers last year, where have you been ?
We had YUGE family gatherings last year, including the 4th of July.
We never stopped having family gatherings.
That’s a whole lot more woke than I want to see.

In this very rural area many families come to have reunions in their ancestral homes, and last year there were few, or none.
This year is dramatically different.

your meal was similar to the one I made last night Instead of chicken I had orange/wine scrod baked. Did rosemary garlic potatoes in fry pan. Chard w/onions and ethopian spices & pinot grigio in fry pan. Carrots with maple and almond slivers. I had the potatoes/chard/carrots. All veggies fresh. I rarely do frozen and never canned except for baked beans. I get the vegetarian ones and add bacon or ham bits to Jenny. Jenny’s scrod added to hers. When I make a meal there is usually enough made for Jen’s lunch the next day . How did yours turn out (other than overdone potatoes?) I used the small petite ones & cut them in half. Ample garlic, garden rosemary and a small amount of minced onion sauteed gently
Did you finally get to see the video? I just finished watching it. As many of you mentioned - most excellent. I didn’t care for the music played at end with fireworks. Fireworks were nice. the round balls was a new display for me. One distraction was boobs in front row.. maybe not for guys.. LOL.

Oh I loved DJTs hair color.. maybe its the same and just lighting. Not as brassy.. More of an ash in appearance.
Im guessing when he does these rallys he is still in body armor. It Fla heat, in a suit and body armor, it must be nice and toasty! He manages to keep his cool

Rusty I do the same with bacon. I use it in a lot of dishes. Appetizers, BLTs, baked potatoes, omelettes, lysie type breakfast. On sale get 4-5 # problem is we have a very small refrigerator. Apartment size with freezer over frig. I love having a stocked pantry and frig/freezer so I can just make a decision on dinner & just pull something out of freezer, main course wise. Our veggie garden is coming in nicely. small tomatoes, beans..beets, carrots.. already harvesting lettuce, greens, herbs
The Texas freeze killed our rosemary plants :-(
They were BIG and decades old. 😥
It’s been difficult to find replacement plants.

when I ate meat I would go a couple times a week to a nearby small hole in wall greek restaurant. Id always order same thing. Their greek burger on a great bun. I know there was oregano and basil in in and maybe something more. I would have one burger with just sour cream on it and dessert baklava.
