Anderson appears to reach for the strap of his backpack but is instantly tasered by an officer and falls to the ground clutching his stomach in pain
Eyewitnesses claimed he had been asked to take off his backpack
Ocean City Council has banned smoking and vaping on its beaches and boardwalk, and only allows smoking on certain designated areas of its beach

Is this a new ordinance? Maybe direct the guy to the nearest designated vape area, and watch him for a while. Going straight to tasers could bring trouble.

Some cops are getting pretty damn aggressive. The lady had slowed down, turned on her hazard flashers and the cop does a pit on her. Way outta line.
I see FR’s stoner contingent is still active. LOL!!! Seriously, though, that’s what I’ve heard and read. If it’s not true, then so be it. But I do know from my own experience smoking both cigarettes and MJ that the latter left me coughing and (sometimes) wheezing more than cigarettes did.
I expect this will continue to happen.

I used to work with aguy who vaped. It smelled like vanilla. Is that really something we need to regulate outside, by the seashore?
Just the opposite here and no problems after tobacco was gone. My doctor said cannabis doesn’t cause copd at all and is available at 18 yrs old in our red state instead of 21 like tobacco.
I would suggest a nice water pipe and add some ice. Avoid tobacco and look for smooth strains.

Maryland is a freaking police state...not just because of this incident. Bunch of liberal leftist control freaks up there in all levels of government. Reminds me of a whole state of bad homeowners association wack jobs.
That said. If the rules are no smoking/vaping on the boardwalk...then the dude should not have been vaping after being warned.
Now that said, tasing the guy with his hands up/complying with removing his backpack?
Punishment must fit the crime. The cops jacked this guy up for a class C misdemeanor. Hog tied and carried him away. I didn’t see the guy resist at all.
