This is BS. The guy was just vaping. It’s this type of incidents that put give police a bad reputation.
Our laws are so whop-sided.
IMO. I vape, as an ex-smoker. WTF?
blacks really have a problem following directions it seems.
If Ocean City didn’t want people arrested for vaping on the boardwalk, they shouldn’t have passed a law making it illegal to vape on the boardwalk.
What makes vaping a taserable offense? Just write him a ticket.
We have some very strange laws in some states.
I credit vaping with getting me off cigs. And because I could ramp down the nic content over time, I eventually gave up vaping as well.
notice the very ones who harp on vaping smoke reefer?
Things are so whop-sided. Makes no sense.
“We have some very strange laws in some states”
This kind of things makes our efforts to get back a reasonable life harder.
Sometimes folks can’t get out of their own way.
They’re being conditioned to believe that cops aren’t going to do anything to them cuz they’re black and don’t want to go to prison instead of the perp.
Especially since smoking reefer is worse than cigs when it comes to pulmonary diseases like COPD.
Vaping is do bad they almost killed him for doing it.
Ah, you’re a big government type I see. Did you watch the video? You think tasing the hid, hog typing him, and hauling him off was the right way to go?
On the other hand, he was warned. Which brings up another problem: Not treating authority with respect.
Having said that, I am a child of the 60s. I grew up questioning authority. We see how that’s gone for us, ie covid, etc.
The older I get the less I know, it seems.
Ocean City tries to maintain a family atmosphere so they have rules. People who don’t like them and don’t want to comply shouldn’t go there. Simple as that.
Anti smoking/vaping madness collides with black royalty madness.
Its a mad mad mad mad mad world....
What makes vaping a taserable offense? Just write him a ticket.
***********
He’ll throw the ticket in the trash and keep vaping.
Nobody wants vapor blowing in their faces these days.
“blacks really have a problem following directions it seems.”
lol... How did you get that from this? Did you actually read it? Or just have a blanket universal judgement of all blacks? Comments like this make them correct about racism. Why insist on proving them as correct? Black are not the only ones who get wronged by law enforcement.

I didn’t know that. Tell it to Denver Colorado which is a ‘healthy state’ of ‘health-conscious’ folks. I mean, breathe the fresh air, before taking a toke.
Then why not shoot him?
When I saw his hand move toward that area at that speed, my first reaction was to think he was going for a gun.
When people have weapons pointed at you, don’t act like a halfwit crap weasel.
I’ve been in that situation before, including an NPA roadblock near Ilo Ilo, and following Chris Rock’s rules (even before he was born) always kept my skin intact.
Of course, there was that one time in Pakistan when we had to make a run for it, but luckily those guys weren’t very proficient at setting up their tripod-mounted machine gun.

Yep I do; cops enforce the laws - they don’t write them - if there is any fault it is with the people who disobey the laws, and the people who write them.
What rules should cops follow if not the laws?
