I used that with my first computer in 1998, I didn’t find anything wrong with it. Not that I would have known if there were anything wrong with it, computer dummy that I was and still am.

I use dogpile in general. Sometimes DuckDuckGo. But I’m pretty sure it’s part of the Google system so I don’t use it as much.
Bing if I want to look at pix. The other 2 do not showcase pix well. I gave up Bing regularly when they featured a f a g rainbow on something last year (or earlier).

I used to use that and excite. I still to this day prefer those because they allowed proper Boolean searches that mostly cut out the nonsense.
