Just because he has a Spanish surname does not mean he is an illegal. It doesn’t even imply he is an immigrant. His first and middle names do not sound like those of someone born outside the US. The article says he was from Texas. The fact that he has a passport doesn’t mean he used it to get here. It can just as easily mean he travels from here to abroad. Homegrown Americans with Hispanic last names can be jackasses too.

Less than 2% of all American citizens in Texas even possess a passport. Only 0.2% of them routinely carry it around with them. And only 0.02% of all American Lamborghini-owners in Texas routinely carry a passport around with them. So the deduction that he is probably an illegal is quite valid.

The number of Americans that have passports is far above 2% and actually above 35% of Americans have passports.
