ANNAPOLIS — Vice President Kamala D. Harris told graduates of the U.S. Naval Academy Friday that the military has entered an era of new security threats such as pandemics, cyber-attacks and climate change.
“A gang of hackers can disrupt the fuel supply of a whole seaboard,” the vice president said.
“One country’s carbon emissions can threaten the sustainability of the whole earth. This, Midshipmen, is the era we’re in,” she said. “The challenge before us now is how to mount a modern defense to these modern threats.”

I’ve heard talk that the military is supposed to consider climate and environmental impacts in their operations.
Can you imagine if General Eisenhower had been told to consider global warming in planning the Normandy invasion?

I grew up in the 1960s and 1970s, I remember hunting outside for easter eggs every Easter wearing shorts and Easter is in April. This year as usual April was freezing. Even in the 1970s when I was in boy scouts we would have a canoe trip in April wearing shorts, swimming in the river.

The current percentage of CO2 in the earths atmosphere is 0.04% If that level ever dropped down to 0.02% because a schmuck like John Kerry “sucked it out” like he said he wanted to do, almost all life on earth would DIE.
