Two months after it first reached the arms of people in the United States, Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine is once again being administered following a 10-day pause over blood-clotting concerns. At the time of publication, over 8.7 million doses of the single-shot vaccine have been delivered so far, per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

At the recommendation of the CDC and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine was temporarily unavailable last month as the agencies investigated sporadic reports of a rare, potentially deadly blood-clotting disorder in six patients—all women between the ages of 18 and 48. Vaccinations resumed on April 23.

Unlike its mRNA, two-dose vaccine competitors from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna, this option uses a modified adenovirus to spur antibody production in its recipients. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is about 66% effective at preventing symptomatic COVID-19, and 85% effective at preventing a severe or critical form of COVID-19 that can lead to hospitalization or death at least 28 days after vaccination, according to data released by the company, which was confirmed in an FDA analysis.

Because it requires just one dose and has manageable temperature storage requirements, Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine was providing a helpful boost to the U.S. immunization effort. President Biden confirmed that Johnson & Johnson worked with one of its competitors, pharmaceutical giant Merck, in a “historic partnership” to increase production of its vaccine

You aren’t giving any specific instruction.

People have died, been out of work for over a year; I’ve seen several small businesses in my area lost.

What do you suggest someone should do who desperately needs a job, and when they find one, their employer demands the vaccination?

Should they just refuse, and allow their families to go hungry?

People just aren’t going to do that.

The JmJ “pause” has let me find out that the mRNA vaccines are more safe and effective.
So I’ll be getting one of them, preferably the Pfizer shot.

I’ve decided to avoid Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine because of the morally questionable approach used in its development. D3, C, Zinc and Quercetin. I’ll wait for now, unless the powers-that-be make it mandatory, then I will refuse.

If I was forced to take a shot...it would be the J&J. no way I’d take the mRNA crap.

You end up with the mRNA anyway. It sends DNA into the nucleus of the cell which then encodes the mRNA to make the spike proteins - and more and more of the mRNA as long as the cell remains alive.

Of course if you get infected you get exponentially more of the mRNA to make the spike proteins - as well as the whole virus.

So the only way to avoid it entirely would be to lock yourself away with zero contact with the outside world...ever.

The only businesses I have seen lost was because of the stupid shutdowns. It had nothing to do with vaccines. There are help wanted signs all over my city. If they can’t find a job it’s because they don’t want to.

They probably are as the concentration of the spike proteins will be lower per dose.

But no treatment is “completely” safe - do your research to make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients used in the delivery of the vaccine.

As though vaccines or even illness are the only way to resist viral infection. What BS. Strengthening base level immunity by keeping blood levels of vitamin D between 60 ng/mL and 80 ng/mL, and about 30 mg/day zinc intake means one will not only not get any severe viral infection of any kind.

Given what we know now, anyone taking a separate vaccine for every virus is an idiot. Anyone recommending the same should receive the Ceaucescu treatment and be buried in an unmarked grave.

And I agree.

But it's getting crazy out there, with employers demanding that employees get this experimental, non-FDA-APPROVED (I said approved not AUTHORIZED for emergency use, these people are trying to parse words and it makes me very angry).

It's like they're trying to criminalize the common cold or something.

I don’t want to work for a company that mandates my way of maintaining immunity.

Personally I’d like to see the State legislatures intervene and declare CDC guidance non-enforceable anywhere in the State. Our personal bodily integrity trumps business. I’d also like to see immunity for companies so long as they practice basic sanitation.

My own company is not enforcing the vax YET. To my knowledge, I am the only employee who has not gotten it. If they do enforce it, I’ll move on.

I don’t know of anyone who had been asked for “proof of vaccination” at a certain company, for a regular FLU shot. The company required the flu shot for people going to the job site. Flu, not COVID. Getting it was on the honor system.

Information in VAERS valid to 5/14/2021. There is a total of 8,902 deaths reported to VAERS for all vaccines in the 30 year history of the database.  Covid vaccines account for about 46% of the observations following vaccination (Jansen is down the list - hasn't caught up to the mRNA's which started administration in December). 

Good to remember that the CDC has not published more than 75% of the reports of adverse events for Covid-19 vaccines it has received. Further, about 99% of adverse events are never reported to the CDC at all.
