Was thinking about something similar, recently...

Classic Rock truly is *classic* in that they were the last song writing generation to be educated in classic literature and themes.

I imagine many young adults/kids, today, probably cannot begin to understand half of the common colloquialisms of the era, and symbolism used, in these Classic Rock songs.

Phrases, terms and words we grew up reading and automatically understanding, when we heard them sung, in these songs.
