My concern is that we are approaching this crisis with our military infiltrated and being targeted from within. Our laws are being flouted more than ever in our history. The police are being disrespected and undermined more than ever before. Fuel is endangered. America is divided, weakened by illness and loss. The voices of the elderly who know history are being eliminated. Many of us don’t have the comfort of celebrating our faith as a community. Families are divided by ideology. A group of House Republicans filed an ethics complaint Tuesday against a number of Democrats who made unsubstantiated claims that GOP members led “reconnaissance” tours before the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
The complaint, first obtained by the Daily Caller, alleged three specific violations and called for an investigation by the House Ethics Committee into the behavior of over two dozen Democrats. The complaint specifically mentioned a letter sent by New Jersey Rep. Mikie Sherrill and 33 other Democrats to the Capitol Police asking them to investigate unsubstantiated claims that Members of Congress led “suspicious” groups through the Capitol Complex on a “reconnaissance” journey ahead of the riot.
The ethics complaint was sent by the top Republicans on the House Administration Committee, Illinois Rep. Rodney Davis, Georgia Rep. Barry Loudermilk and Wisconsin Rep. Bryan Steil.
The complaint also noted Sherrill’s Jan. 12 comments, when she told constituents in a Facebook video that she was worried some of her colleagues had provided “reconnaissance” tours to Capitol rioters.
Sherrill and 33 Democratic colleagues then wrote a letter Jan. 13 asking Capitol Police for more details about who was allowed into the Capitol days prior to Jan. 6.
“The visitors encountered by some of the Members of Congress on this letter appeared to be associated with the rally at the White House the following day,” the Democrats wrote in the letter, Politico reported. “Members of the group that attacked the Capitol seemed to have an unusually detailed knowledge of the layout of the Capitol Complex. The presence of these groups within the Capitol Complex was indeed suspicious.”
Capitol Police never responded to the claims, and Democrats have not been able to provide evidence to support them.

Harmless, yes, but possums have to be among the stupidest animals God ever created.
I see them all the time around here. The cats are highly amused, but I am not, when they walk around on the screened roof of the patio. I am always chasing them around underneath with a broom, so that they don’t plant themselves in the corner under the eaves to take a nap.
They are welcome to stay in my yard and eat all the pesky insects they can find, but stay off my patio roof and out of my garage!
We have the washer and dryer in the garage, and one time there was a baby possum behind them. We could hear some critter scuffling around there, and when I saw it was a baby possum, I opened the side door (right next to the dryer), to let it get free, but it wouldn’t take the hint. I reached behind the dryer with a broom, trying to guide it, and it scooted over the broom and went behind the washer. Stuck the broom behind the washer, and it scooted back behind the dryer. Over and over and over again this happened, and the little bugger was becoming hissing mad at me. It never went to the open door that was right there. Finally, it came out from that side of the dryer, and scooted right past the open door, and ensconced itself underneath a wide shelving fixture that had plenty more space to go back and forth under. So I gave up. I figured it would be best to let it alone, and give it time to calm down and find its own way out.
Not too bright at all. Their mommas aren’t much smarter. I finally saw the baby and its mother out in the yard about an hour later.
