I find this comment about Melania Trump having a priest bless her home, the White House, before moving in, very interesting. And very Catholic. My husband and I have had every residence we lived in blessed by our parish priest or, in later years, by my husband or my son. It is the establishment of our home, and environment, as a residence of the Holy Spirit and all that which accompanies Gods presence. Any person or family, regardless of religious persuasion or denomination, can do the same with their residence, temporary or permanent.
