Well, I try to hold myself to a standard and lose weight, too. Didn’t mind being called fat, either. I call myself that, until the goal is accomplished. I’m old enough to not have any sensitivity to that sort of thing. Long ago, I had a grandfather who was known as a “fat boy,” (6’ 4”, 320 pounds) and he was loved by many.

My DH knew a postman who got paralyzed with the Guillain-Barré syndrome in ‘76. Luckily he and his mom did not have problems, but that was scary.

The ROI is not worth it. I don’t think this is killer enough to risk an “experimental” RUSHED vaccine. I don’t care that Trump made it happen,

BTW DH bowed to pressure and is getting the Pfizer. I pray God we do not regret this 2nd round this week.

I wish "yinz" all the luck there. BTW, I'm from Pittsburgh, but still live close by in the Ohio Valley. I'm not taking any vaccines without a long wait and see at least. I think this was one time President Trump should have backed off on. If I was him, I'd say, "we are working on it and we are doing the best but we cannot rush this."

I remember early last year, I was sick as a dog for several days. Getting out of bed to go to the bathroom, feed the cat or anything required a huge Act of God. Coe to think of it, back in 1997, I was really sick as a dog too. I lost my grandmother during Holy Week and by Easter, Mom and I was so sick, again getting out of bed required huge acts of feat. We were feverish, even the hair on my head ached or felt that way. I wonder if then, we had the Coronavirus or one almost identical because I remember one time, instead o cooking, we ordered pizza and Mom took a bite, made a face and said, "I feel like I'm eating cardboard, I have no taste at all. I had a little but but mine was blunted as well. That line made me think. In 2003, I fell on ice getting out of my car and cut my hand open. A week later, it was infected and I was admitted to hospital the day after Columbia blew up on reentry. I was in for 5 days and when I got home, caught something similar again. I coughed so hard I pulled a rib out. I took the percoset the hospital gave me, I didn't need it for the hand but took it for just in case. I was laying in bed recovering and playing a game on my Playstation, my hand specialist said to exercise the hand and fingers so in addition to therapy, he "prescribed" Playstation. The percoset knocked me out in 20 minutes and I feel asleep for 2 hours. I woke up with the Playstation controls in my hands, a cat on my lap and the character in the video game, Legend of the Dragoon, was just standing in the TV screen, tapping his foot waiting for me to move. B-)

I wonder if is has been around in various forms as well.

You have the right to make your own decisions. The sad part is those that choose not to take the jab will be forced to take them by the leftist corporations, Senile Joe’s administration, and the leftist mobs. It is already happening at my place of employment, all new hires HAVE to take the jab as an employment requirement.....that said, the skilled technicians ( mostly old white guys with” privilege “ ) are at about 50 percent jabbed/ unjabbed.
I am prepared after 34 years to refuse the jab, get a class action lawsuit and fight the experimental jab. That said, the threat of long term side effects from the jab will start showing up in the form of “ unexplained “ neurological illnesses further down the road. I do thank the human lab mice who volunteered (or were deceived ) for the great experiment....carry on.

How did you know my DH is a Pittsburgh fan? Actually he’s from the exact center of PA.

Recall this is just one of several coronaviruses. They are mostly causes of common colds. Not the most likely common cold, but that is what coronaviruses mostly do. It’s possible to get the cousins of this and they may behave similarly.

My DH was hit pretty hard with it. I didn’t do great either but I wasn’t groaning in exhaustion all the time! That was mostly what I got was the bad fatigue. Tiny short periods of throat irritation and sniffles. My DH got a solid cold then the major fatigue. Our young son short sniffles and headache slight fever, easily defeated with ibuprofen. My mom had a decent cold. My cousin hit hard with the fatigue.

Full disclosure...my MIL died Jan 6 from COVID. She was still in PA never saw us since Oct. she was so concerned but ended up getting it herself at home.
