My husband loves all that little junk. And he actually finds uses for it when he is fixing things. But still I don’t want it all over the house! So there is one drawer in the kitchen that is his. If he fills it up he’ll have to figure out what to keep and what stays.
Unfortunately he’s using his nightstands to hold the Overflow.
I wouldn’t mind one drawer. Actually, I’d be thrilled, as long as things got fixed! Yes, nightstand drawer overflowing as well here lol. It’s any level surface. All surfaces should be slightly angled.
Maybe give him a special box to put his ‘treasures’ in. That way when it gets ‘lost’ in the move....well, that kind of thing always happens in a move!
;)
Did you feel the same when you were packing them, that you didn’t know if you even wanted them? If you don’t like the things you’re unpacking better than the stuff that’s already where you would put the newly-unearthed items, maybe quarantine them in a garage or basement for a certain length of time (6 months?). If you don’t miss them and go looking for them, get rid of them.
I’ve seen lots of ways to decide if you should keep something, from the ‘does it give you joy?’ through a whole flowchart of questions. One that I use is ‘if I didn’t have this and saw it in the store, would I re-buy it?’. If no, it needs to go. If that causes queasiness, then the next question could be ‘if I get rid of this, how difficult/how expensive would it be to find a replacement?’
Well, yes, a special box is exactly what I had in mind.

NEW: During his speech in Tulsa, Pres. Biden says Vice President Harris will take charge of the administration’s efforts to pass HR1 and the Voting Rights Act.
https://breaking911.com/breaking-texas-governor-declares-state-of-emergency/
“Governor Greg Abbott today issued a disaster declaration along Texas’ southern border in response to the border crisis, providing more resources and strategies to combat the ongoing influx of unlawful immigrants. The Governor is authorizing the use of all necessary and available state and local resources to protect landowners in these counties from trespassers and the damage they cause to private property. The Governor has also directed the Texas Department of Public Safety to enforce all federal and state criminal laws, including criminal trespassing, smuggling, and human trafficking. The Governor directed the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to take all necessary steps to discontinue state licensure of any child care facility under a contract with the federal government that shelters or detains unlawful immigrants.
Additionally, the Governor directed the Texas Commission on Jail Standards and the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement to work with Texas counties to provide appropriate guidance and request any necessary waivers in order to give counties the flexibility needed to establish adequate alternative detention facilities or otherwise add or expand capacity. The Governor also directed these agencies to streamline procedures for licensing and transfers, and to address any staffing issues that may arise in expanding capacity.”
“Celebrity Cruises is waving off threats by Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis to enforce Florida’s ban on vaccine passports.
A spokesperson for the Royal Caribbean subsidiary told USA Today it will press forward with plans to require proof of vaccination before embarking on its Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-approved maiden voyage June 26 from Fort Lauderdale and its subsequent sailings from Florida through the fall.
It’s the first cruise line to earn the federal agency’s approval under strict new COVID-19 requirements for cruises with paying passengers – requiring 95 percent of crew and passengers to be “fully vaccinated.
That requirement violates “the spirit” of the governor’s emergency order protecting “the right to medical privacy” for Floridians, a DeSantis spokesperson said. A bill signed into law by DeSantis, taking effect July 1, also bans vaccine passports.
The governor on Friday singled out Florida cruise lines in remarks carried by WPLG Local 10.
“We are going to enforce Florida law,” he said during a stop in Lakeland. “You don’t pass laws and then not enforce them against giant corporations. It doesn’t work that way.”
DeSantis said the CDC doesn’t have the authority to shut down cruise lines for failure to comply with its COVID-19 guidance. Cruise ship attorney Jim Walker told USA Today that Celebrity would have to take DeSantis to court to clarify whose authority prevails on proof of vaccination.”

Trump supporters for all of their flaws just aren’t out there doing hate crimes. Even the Proud Boys just did street fights with ANTIFA.
That’s why #StopAsianHate isn’t being pushed anymore - doesn’t fit the left’s narrative.
FR has been having a bit of a server problem.
Let’s hope it is now fixed.

BREAKING: Official spokesperson from D.C. MPD confirmed in writing that MPD officers deployed tear gas on June 1, 2021. In court proceedings, MPD’s brief accepted as true the Plaintiffs’ allegation.
Had the MPD succeeded on its Motion to Dismiss, it never would have been forced to reveal whether it used tear gas. Last week, @NathanBacaTV reported that MPD’s attorney admitted in oral argument that MPD had used tear gas, but given stage of procedure,
And fact that MPD did not admit that in its brief OR previously, that seemed unlikely.
See this THREAD detailing the law.

Since then I’ve been seeking clarification from transcript, @NathanBacaTV, 3 lawyers for MPD, and colleague obtained from MPD itself. Received today. What I want to know is WHY did it take 1 year district to give an answer?(NOTE: District never said they didn’t use tear gas.)

The Biden administration has suspended oil and gas leases in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, reversing a drilling program approved by the Trump administration.
Ha! Now that there is funny.
