But I know why you’re thinking I’m from the Litchfield area-I do the Route 66 motor tour the Illinois Route 66 Association does every June (only one month away now!!!!), so I’m always mentioning places around Litchfield. And we usually stop in Litchfield because the Route 66 Association museum is there. Gotta show it some love and see what’s new!
The Saturday night Association banquet is at the VFW post in Lincoln. At least this year; we don’t always have the Saturday night stopover in Lincoln.
I thought that was EVERY day!

Me- I’m originally from Lincoln and a life member of Am. Legion Post #263. At one time I also belonged to the Downtown Lincoln Association, a Main Street America offshoot which “sponsored” the RT 66 Motor Rally when it came to town (parade/parking/passport stamping/etc.) in conjunction with the major sponsor just up the road in Bloomington- State Farm HQ’s.

Congratulations to Glenn Youngkin for winning the Republican nomination for Governor of Virginia. Glenn is pro-Business, pro-Second Amendment, pro-Veterans, pro-America, he knows how to make Virginia’s economy rip-roaring, and he has my Complete and Total Endorsement! Glenn is running against Bill Clinton’s longtime enabler, Terry McAuliffe. Terry McAuliffe was the Clintons’ bagman in more ways than one, from the cover-ups to the get-rich-quick schemes, and his deals with Communist China look suspicious. He was responsible for many of the problems Virginia currently has. Virginia doesn’t need the Clintons or the Communist Chinese running the state, so say no to Terry McAuliffe, and yes to Patriot Glenn Youngkin!

Remember when gas was $1.69 in places, the Keystone XL Pipeline was in production, the border was secured, and we were seeing record amounts of peace accords in the Middle East with Israel among Arab Nations?
And seeding war in parts of the world.

I can tell we’ll be doing *something* in Bloomington, but not sure just what. They don’t tell us the actual locations until we check in on Friday night and we get our passport.
Funks Grove is on the list of towns where we’ll be making a stop, and that means only one thing....maple sirup!! And I’ve just used up the last of my stash from 2 years ago.
