She’s been a terrible, terrible person. She has torn him away from his family, but she’s pretty sneaky about it so that he just doesn’t see it. She’s a bad person.
I worked for a guy that had a horrible wife, she’d come in and acted like she was the boss. She came in once and said something I didn’t like, so I told her I didn’t work for her. She stormed into my boss’s office and then left. He calls me in there, and a coworker, talking about keeping peace with his wife. I flat out told him he was pu$$y whipped. He was shocked, then admitted it. I thought my coworker was going to die laughing.
I didn’t see his wife much after that. But he’d always tell me that next to his wife, I was the meanist woman he’d ever met.

I am so glad that I manned up and went over to my niece’s house to celebrate Mother’s Day with three out of four of her children. Two of the nieces had their boyfriends with them, and my sister brought her boyfriend along so it was just me and my brother on one philosophical team against eight left-wingers but to everyone’s credit, no one as much as made a peep sound about politics.
A little bragging here by the proud uncle- The oldest niece that is all tattooed and pierced up with the occasionally fluorescently bright hair coloring is making plans to jettison her career in the tattooing and piercing industry for a more sanguine employment track in a biology field and has begun taking college classes towards that goal.
Another niece has completed a 4-year degree in forensic science, plus a year in post graduate studies with some substitute teaching on the side, and has now shifted all of her career interests into the pharmacological field and is serving a serious internship with a major pharmacy chain and is vigorously pursuing a doctorate in pharmacology.
A third niece is a freshman in high school, except she has been homebound for a year and is fit to be tied with the whole pandemic pall and the disruption it’s having on her life and schooling and she has rebelled in the sense that she is quite apathetic and lethargic towards learning in general. I felt the same way at 15, and dropped out of high school after 1 month, and left home shortly thereafter embarking on a course in the school of hard knocks, so I had a real kinship with the young lady as she poured out her frustrations.
Overall, it was a really warm get-together, and frankly, that is the way it should be, where everyone sets aside their known and unknown differences and focuses on the issue at hand which was to celebrate motherhood and in particular celebrate a very special person in everyone’s life.
I was able to convey my epiphany regarding our mother marrying my stepfather on my 11th birthday, and how at that moment in my life the family expansion didn’t sit too well with me, but- with perspective and the passing of time, I came to realize that I had actually received a dad on my birthday, which is one of the best presents I ever received.
NOTE: When I was 8 years old, I asked for and received a James Bond Attache Case, for Christmas, and to be honest, that’s a pretty high mark to top. lol

freepersup takes the time to make his posts very interesting and entertaining. That’s a thoughtful thing to do, and I appreciate it. I’m not that thoughtful and never did like to take the time to write. When I was working I only wrote to the IRS and other tax collecting or regulating agencies, so I didn’t have to be entertaining. Any other letters I just wrote bullet points and had someone else write it. Well, if I was angry I could write scathing letters, but that wasn’t often for sweet little me.
