FEC ditches case regarding Trump hush-money payments to women

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) revealed that it has ditched a case related to whether former President Donald Trump breached election law in connection with a payment made to Stormy Daniels prior to the 2016 election by Trump’s then-lawyer Michael Cohen.
Cohen served time for violating campaign finance laws, tax evasion and lying to Congress, according to the New York Times, which noted that Cohen has stated that Trump directed him to set up payments to two women amid the 2016 election contest.
“The hush money payment was done at the direction of and for the benefit of Donald J. Trump,” Cohen told the outlet in a statement. “Like me, Trump should have been found guilty. How the F.E.C. committee could rule any other way is confounding.”
The Times said that an FEC Office of General Counsel report put out in December noted that the office discovered “reason to believe” campaign finance law breaches were perpetrated “knowingly and willfully” by Trump’s campaign. However, the election commission during a February meeting chose not to move ahead. Two Republican commissioners voted to drop the matter but two Democratic commissioners voted to advance, the outlet said.
“To conclude that a payment, made 13 days before Election Day to hush up a suddenly newsworthy 10-year-old story, was not campaign-related, without so much as conducting an investigation, defies reality,” the Democratic commissioners noted in a statement.
“In sum, the public record is complete with respect to the conduct at issue in these complaints, and Mr. Cohen has been punished by the government of the United States for the conduct at issue in these matters,” the Republican commissioners said in a statement. “Thus, we concluded that pursuing these matters further was not the best use of agency resources.”

The Federal Election Commission in Washington, D.C., has totally dropped the phony case against me concerning payments to women relative to the 2016 Presidential Election. It was a case built on lies from Michael Cohen, a corrupt and convicted lawyer, a lawyer in fact who was so corrupt he was sentenced to three years in jail for lying to Congress and many other things having nothing to do with me. I thank the Commission for their decision, ending this chapter of Fake News. Between two sleazebag lawyers, Michael Avenatti and Michael Cohen, we were all able to witness law and justice in our Country at its lowest!

I suspect the left is thrilled with this report. They want as many as possible dependent on their handouts. The more dependents, the more dem voters.
I don’t know, our Kirby is much lighter than the Hoover. There’s not much to it although it is all metal.
No he has a corneal erosion. I didn’t know teeth got that. I suppose that’s the same thing as a cavity?

At 6:31 in the morning on November 4th, a dump of 149,772 votes came in to the State of Michigan. Biden received 96% of those votes and the State miraculously went to him. Has the Michigan State Senate started their review of the Fraudulent Presidential Election of 2020 yet, or are they about to start? If not, they should be run out of office. Likewise, at 3:42 in the morning, a dump of 143,379 votes came in to the state of Wisconsin, also miraculously, given to Biden. Where did these “votes” come from? Both were State Election changing events, and that is on top of the other corruption without even including the fact that neither state got Legislative approval, which is required under the United States Constitution.

RPOTUS calling this stolen election fraud out.
Good for him!!
Hopefully, it means things are habbening, in these states, as well.
US Chamber of Commerce is complicit, on the “new” deal/election steal....I’m sure they’re so upset./s
What a bunch of frauds they are, too.
I don’t think Pence was forced on Trump in 2016, and as I recall, neither did anyone else on this forum, and I certainly don’t think so in 2020.
Great tweet, by Matt.
Amazing to have seen so many who gleefully accepted that free money...many who were working or, on their normal fixed incomes (and, had not taken any cuts in their monthly checks).
Now, we’re all gonna be paying XiDen’s piper :-(
We had a Kirby, growing up.
That thing was like a Mac truck. YUGE and heavy.

I didn’t have a close relationship with my mom either. Neither did my sister, lol that brought us together.
And isn’t it amazing that so many are shocked by the inflation that is happening?
What did they expect when the government keeps spending money it doesn’t have?
I'm sure they would have said the same thing if it came in "as expected" at 1 million jobs (3 letters J O B S)
Thanks, exit82...added to Tuesday’s thread...
Thanks.
