Yes, and there was the woman in Texas of all places arrested for not wearing a mask in Bank of America of all places. Does anyone see the irony of trouble for not wearing a mask in a bank? Has bank robberies gone down because of extended unemployment? Inquiring minds want to know.

I’ve been going through some books from my smaller, older book case, and found some old hymnals from 1900-1909.

They are yellowed, but very legible,
Some came from Illinois, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Wis.
*sigh*
I hate putting them in the recycling bin, but I really must free up some space.

I just saw the videos of Ryan’s last treatments and ringing the bell at M.D. Anderson. I have tears in my eyes! He’s so strong! I’m glad they are coming home this evening.
I may get to see them Sunday.

I just gave a quick Google and came up with this (I think it was written more for congregations replacing their hymnals?):

Reuse: Find a New Home for your hymnals!
The Hymn Society in the United States and Canada will post a notice in their widely read newsletter, The Stanza, regarding donated hymnals. Please send all pertinent information to office@thehymnsociety.org(link sends e-mail).
Check with other churches in your area— those who continue to use the previous Psalter Hymnals may need to replace hymnals that are in poor condition.
Donate them to the library—your church library, the local public library, school libraries, etc.
Donate them to a retirement community or nursing home in your area.
Donate them to Goodwill or another thrift store. However, it might be wise to make sure that they are not inundated with hymnals… Our best guess—no thrift store is going to want 300 copies of the same book on their shelves.

Also, if you’re crafty, I know there’s lots of crafts that use old book pages that you could probably do the same thing with the hymnal if so inclined.

Working in a department store at the mall is usually uneventful when it come to crisis except for thieves.
This eve some woman ran into the store and shouted someone has a gun from a fight in the mall at another store.Well of course we all ran out to the nearest exit in the opposite direction. Who knows what happened if it was true or not. End of story this was so unorganized in this type of situation. The mangers were complaining no one was left on the floor and wanted all to come back in that left.
The woman yelled gun and we all left helping others out.
Bottom line, there was no plan in this scenario just pure chaos.

I went back in and realized it was just a fight but that silly woman that shouted out gun in the store cause more grief than necessary.

All I know I just left the store but went back in soon afterwards. Police were there to apprehend whoever started the fight. I felt silly running but proud I kept calm. Just another day of retail but with a lil bit of drama. Longview is getting rather edgy lately.
