No, you didn't read that incorrectly. We have some horrible news coming out of the Indianapolis Shooting that went down the other day. Apparently the former employee and gunman was a fan of Friendship is Magic, and more specifically Applejack, who was the focus of his final message on his pony focused Facebook page an hour before the shooting.

When I first heard about this “subculture” some years back, I didn’t believe it. I thought it was wholly a product of the incisive internet ridicule machine. Then I found it it was a real thing, and it shocked me.

I don’t believe they’ve said yet. There are reports that say that the last weapon (a shotgun) that was ‘confiscated’ from Hole by the FBI, after an alert from the boy’s mother, was purchased 24-hours prior to that incident.
Interestingly, the picture authorities released sure looks like it is a mugshot from a prior arrest. It’s not clear if this originated with that last ‘interview’ by the Feds that resulted in them taking the shotgun with them, or if it’s something else.
If it is indeed a mugshot, it Will be interesting to see what the timeframe of that event was, what was he arrested for, what was the disposition of that arrest and should that have barred him from legally obtaining a firearm of any kind.

EXACTLY what I’ve been thinking while reading through the responses to this post.
First of all, I had no idea of what a “Brony” is, and STILL don’t! Plus, the sentence you just quoted is an all-too-common example of how our current news media has butchered the English language, and then offered us pieces of it in headlines that are TOTALLY bass-ackwards!!!!
