Yahoo made me change the pass word to my email that I've had since 1998, lost the pass word and can't get it back. I do NOT want yahoo again.
Also need to know how to notify F.R. of the change.
Yahoo has a new email service and it and gmail and comcast.net often don’t work together.
Protonmail.com is the best I know of.
If you had your phone number on the account, they could send you a one-time password. If you had a separate email provider and had entered that, they can send the reset to that email address.
Also, a different computer or device might still be logged into your account. Be sure to check.
Yeah, but did you have a GEnie account? In the DOS/text only days that was $5/month dialup...
Agree with those recommending Proton
Using Protonmail.com for all mine now. Mostly because they don’t require phone # and other personal info verification.
Yahoo scans your emails and sells the information as part of their business model, just like Googel/gmail.
Precisely why I don’t even email people with gmail.
...you...at protonmail.com
I gave up email 10 years ago and I’ve never felt better.
Hey.... smell the roses...
multiple suggestions to hookup with ProtonMail (dot) com.

I have neither cell phone nor separate email account, no land line either for that matter.

Outlook is totally on the exchange server now. They will gwt all your contacts and info.
I still have a rocketmail.com account.
I have used fastball.com from Australia for at least 15 years. It’s not free, but they use encryption, have no ads, have a good spam filter, where you can see what they think is spam and save it if you want it.
They have a 30-day free trial.

I gave up land line phones around 1994, gave up cell phones about 2 years ago. Family emergencies can call my daughter’s cell, she lives with me.
JERRY: (Mesmerized) What are you, a scientist?!
NINA: Ah, I gotta go. (Gets up to leave)
JERRY: Ah.
NINA: It's great talkin'
JERRY: Great talkin' to you. (Nina leaves. To himself) What the hell is e-mail?
You can reset your password.

I have used gmx.net (German) for 2 decades. They now have an English equivalent — gmx.com.
