You my be suprised to learn that Google NOW makes $120 BILLION DOLLARS a year in profit by selling your search and web browsing data to advertisers. When you click on an ad, that advertiser pays Google about $2 for your click!!!!! Google has also just purchased YouTube that pays NO royalty to musicians many of which have their music videos posted on it by other users.
In addition to these obscene billions of dollars of profits from selling YOUR data, Google has put both musicians and small town newspapers in dire straights, the latter of which because they can no longer sell ads due to Google.
You can screw up Google by using “AdNauseum” in your web browser. AdNauseam not only blocks ads; it also obfuscates browsing data to screw up tracking by the online ad industry. To throw ad networks off your trail AdNauseam “clicks” blocked and hidden ads, polluting your data profile and injecting noise into the economic system that drives online surveillance. AdNauseum not only blocks visible ads and more importantly actually messes up their data base by faking invisible clicks on each and every now invisible ad that Google sends during your web browsing.
To find it simply Google “AdNauseum” and help screw up Google’s obscene $120 billion of annual profits from selling their web tracking data of people like us!!!!!!!!!

I use a VPN. Google doesn’t make much off of me at all.
Great way to plug an extension. Whether useful or not, said extension will monetize thru ads.
Like the Godfather said, “It doesn’t matter to me what a man does for a living, as long as it does conflict with my interests. “
How old is this article? Google purchased YouTube 15 years ago... But they weren't making $120 billion back then.
google has not “just” purchased YouTube unless by “just” you mean ten years ago.
I use the Avast browser. I noticed that when I accessed a site recently from chrome that I normally only use Avast for, it was like a different site. Ads everywhere. I had no idea they were even there before.

Awhile back I read an article that used the term “goat rodeo”. I didn’t know what that term meant. So I used Google to look up the meaning (laziness on my part that I didn’t use another search engine).
Anyway, the next time I opened YouTube I got an ad for buying goats! And no, I didn’t buy any - I’m saving up my money to buy a wildebeest.
...faking invisible clicks on each and every now invisible ad ...
Could say “Serves ‘em right for advertising with google.”

I’ve had similar experiences. I have uBlock Origin installed on my Chromium browser. Once in a while I’ll happen to go to a site from work (Win 10 and Edge) and there are a ton of ads. Hmm.
Google free home here. No GMail, no Google Search, nothing.
“YouTube that pays NO royalty to musicians”
Umm, this is not true.
I shop for bikinis and lingerie. I dont mind those ads so much.
Brave browser + Ghostery app = clean web pages.
Good has a ton of money. They are in the process of purchasing ten square miles in San Bruno. Wow. Super expensive real estate.
Also, recording artists do get paid for music videos shown there through the Vevo music video platform.
That only works if someone uses Vevo to search for and find music hosted on YouTube though, correct? (Asking because I don't know.)
One of my doctors said he pays Google about $8 for your click on his Google search ad.
