The event horizon is the point within which information can no longer escape the singularity. If a human being is able to stay alive one inch away from the event horizon, there's no reason he shouldn't be able to stay alive one inch closer - but no information that he studies will ever leave the event horizon, and neither will he.

Seems absurd. However as Einstein himself noted a physicist without an imagination could never be a great scientist. Then again most of what theoretical physicists do can never be experimentally proved. The majority of it is science fiction.

If we sent a probe into a black hole, we would never see it disappear.........................

Playing with equations, I see. You can put away your little equations. No, the person would not survive, and yes, the person would die.
The environment in a black hole is not compatible with the survival of a living organism. No food, no air, no light, extreme gravity.
The only good thing about being in a black hole is there’s no CNN.

Doesn’t matter. We won’t be able to study them much longer as they will be considered racist.

Interesting thought experiment, but the radiation emanating from a black hole would cook you long before you got anywhere near the event horizon, regardless of the size of the black hole. One of the consequences of having something that massive and spinning that fast is that highly energetic particles get flung from it non-stop in all directions.

You would have to find a Black Hole in intergalactic space that had already consumed all matter within its gravity well, such that it no longer emitted an radiation..............

Still spitting out x-rays and Hawking radiation. Still cooking you long before you get close to it.
