Interesting thought experiment, but the radiation emanating from a black hole would cook you long before you got anywhere near the event horizon, regardless of the size of the black hole. One of the consequences of having something that massive and spinning that fast is that highly energetic particles get flung from it non-stop in all directions.

You would have to find a Black Hole in intergalactic space that had already consumed all matter within its gravity well, such that it no longer emitted an radiation..............
