A recent military study shows military personnel evaluated who received the flu vaccine were at 36 percent higher odds of testing positive for coronavirus (pre-SARS CoV2) with varied benefit in preventing some strains of the flu.
“Examining noninfluenza viruses specifically, the odds of both coronavirus and human metapneumovirus in vaccinated individuals were significantly higher when compared to unvaccinated individuals (OR = 1.36 and 1.51, respectively) (Table 5).”
The flu vaccine studied demonstrated varied benefit in flu prevention – – some strains showed significant benefit while others did not.
UPDATE 9/9/20: ScienceDirect truncated the study cited. You will need to purchase access to the study to read it in its entirety for $35.95. As the title of the study shows, the period studied, 2017-2018, predates the current coronavirus strain called SARS-CoV-2 that results in COVID-19.
Titled, Influenza vaccination and respiratory virus interference among Department of Defense personnel during the 2017–2018 influenza season, the report on the study addresses the phenomena of vaccine virus interference of the influenza vaccine.

In light of this study, it is interesting to note that since 2015 Seniors (65+) have been strongly encouraged by doctors and medical personnel to get a high dose Flu vaccine with four times as many antigens than a regular flu shot.
Given the severity of SARS-Cov2 (COVID-19), administering a 4X flu shot to the elderly in the midst of a SARS-Cov2 pandemic would appear antithetical to protecting this vulnerable population.

And I’ve also heard pneumonia shot may be beneficial as pneumonia is one of the complications for Covid.

I didn't see that as 36% more at risk of contracting coronavirus in the study. It appears to me that the flu vaccine may create antigens or leave blood markers that also trigger a positive coronavirus reading.
And that's not to mention the nasty side-effects including death it causes. And its short and long-term effect on reproduction. And turning us all into mutants.

No. Just tell him if after 5 years if everyone is fine, and these vaccines are no longer experimental, I will consider getting it. If he has a problem, it’s his fault

You might be able to find the J&J vaccination somewhere else nearby. I know someone who received the Moderna vaccination right across the street from where veterans were getting the J&J one.
If this is based on PCR testing, the probability of testing positive is higher as it tests for commonly found D/RNA sequences and per the inventor, any virus would register as a positive after excessive permutations/magnification.
Inject flu vaccine, test for viral RNA via PCR and voila, there it is! A positive.
So the fact that I never had the flu vaccine likely made me less susceptible to the Covid-19 bug, a coronavirus.
Yes, the natural human antibody response to invaders is a broader spectrum response than the very specific agents resulting from a vaccine. The human response has to be broader because it is searching for what will work and throwing more than one specific counter attack at the invader. Then the T cells remember what was produced and what worked, bringing out the same army next time.
