X-energy, of Rockville, Md., will work with Energy Northwest of Richland and Grant County PUD to develop, build and operate an 80-megawatt reactor, the Xe-100, on land already leased by Energy Northwest at the Hanford nuclear reservation in Eastern Washington.

Of course they don’t. All you get from a LFTR is power. With a fission plant, you put in Uranium, you get Plutonium. The power is just a pretense.
That’s ok. Wasn’t tying to push the tide.
Do agree I shouldn’t have verbalized some thoughts.
I wouldn’t want to use their reactors here. I just want the efficiency of construction that comes when you can just do the right thing without some enviro-wacko group holding you up in court for a decade.
I actually like the CANDU reactors quite a bit. They’re incredibly efficient, safe, and reliable. If we built a bunch of CANDU reactors, we could shutter pretty much all the old nuclear and coal power plants within a decade or so (not accounting for enviro-wackos) and finally enter a REAL age of clean, inexpensive energy.
No biggie. See you on the discussion threads.
